I'm part of the sloth running team! LOL! If any runners would like to add me, please do! I am currently training for a half marathon in November!

I lost 40 pounds and gained 70 back. It's easy to gain all the weight back and then some when you lose weight in a very restrictive way. I ate super healthy and exercised every day. When I got to my "goal" -- I thought I could stop and went back to how I ate before I lost the weight and stopped exercising. This time -- I…

It's great that you were able to look back and see the differences from the beginning of your journey and now. I had to step back and look at what I was doing differently from when I first started too. Even though I had a pretty busy exercise schedule every week -- I think I lost focus with my eating. So I've gone back to…

Cheese fries topped with lots of bacon and jalapenos with ranch to dip it in!

Yes. When I first started on MFP -- I focused on my eating and then I added a little bit of exercise at a time. First it was just a 15 minute walk... then it was 30 minutes on the exercise bike... and now I work out 4-5 times a week. It's all about baby steps.

I think it's best to just ignore them and keep doing what you're doing. I know it's hard and their words are hurtful but you have no control over what they are going to say to you -- you do have control over how you will let their words affect you. I went through this my whole life and instead of ignoring it -- I let it…

You are amazing! Congratulations on your current success!! :flowerforyou:

I used to have shin splits regularly when I first started trying the C25K program. Once I got fitted for the correct shoes -- the shin splints went away mostly. The only time they came back was when it was time to get a new pair of shoes. If you haven't already -- you may want to go to a running store and get fitted. They…

This is an amazing idea!

When I run, I love when I finish! LOL! I really love the feeling of accomplishment after a long run! I never thought I'd be where I am at today with running.

Blue corn tortilla chips are addictive so I buy that always. I love their fresh produce. And I'm a big fan of their microwave indian meals!

I'm one of the boring ones that just put a TB of chia seeds in my bottle of water -- I do pizazz it up with a squeeze of lemon and a bit of agave nectar.

I made some avocado popsicles last night -- I can't wait to see how they came out! I used 2 avocados, 4 TB of agave, 1 1/2 cups of lactose free 2% milk, 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios and 1 TB of chia seeds... eeeeeeeeeeeek!!! Edited: And they're only 117 calories per pop!!

There's some documentary called "Spirit of the Marathon" -- maybe check that one out! My hubby watched it while he was training for his marathon.

Did you get fitted for the correct running shoes? If not -- you may want to go to your local running store and have them help you. It may make a big difference. Good luck!

I'm not sure what your eating regimen was when you lost the 40 pounds but were you incorporating those foods in your everyday diet or did you quit eating them cold turkey? Do you think it may help if you budget some of your daily intake to a cookie or a donut or a sweet treat? That has helped me a lot. I usually have…

For me, if I want it... I eat it. I just work my other meals around it or exercise to cover it.

Every run I do is to prove my mind wrong -- with the first steps, my mind is telling me just to run up the street and come back home. Once I hit 1 mile... my mind is telling me to turn back around, that's enough or start walking... but I still keep going. Throughout my runs -- there is always that voice in the back of my…

Like others have said -- it depends what you are using it for. I wear my FitBit everyday to track my steps. I don't use it to track my sleeping, although it has that capability. I also have a Polar FT4 HRM which I use to track calories burned for all of the exercises I do. FitBit won't work if you cycle because it can't…

Good luck! I wish you the best! You've done it before and you'll do it again! We all have to start somewhere! :flowerforyou:
