  • @RosieRaz I spoke too soon. Recently while doing other things around the house I stop and realize that I'm leaking a little. So weird! It only happens when I need to go to the bathroom though, so I'm quite sure that it's not my water broken just yet. I will mention it to my midwife though just in case there's something…
  • @helenmelon29 well done on the weight gain!! :) I hope you heal up quickly! :) And that's how I felt when my water broke too. It does have that distinct feel/smell for sure. But it doesn't hurt to ask just in case.
  • @RosieRaz mthe pamphlet from midwife says that any leaking that could possibly be your water breaking should be reported as soon as possible. Is there a number you can call? Although I haven't had it, urine leakage is apparently normal near the end an to tell the difference you should try climbing stairs or lunging side to…
  • Congratulations @aleikita !! Excellent work staying within your goal range!! :) Yes, my midwife does need a new scale!! Lol @joysyear
  • Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless you think some of the ingredients are weird. You could try googling each individual ingredient and decide for yourself if you think they're ok. Ask your doctor for sure though . You can make your own granola bars too. :)
  • There's been a stomach bug going around both my husband's and my family and it's finally claimed me too. :( hoping this will be over soon. Maybe this is my hint to start leafing through the baby name book again while I'm bedridden. I was able to get a double stroller off of a mom at my church who happened to be selling it…
  • Congratulations Helen!!!!! What a beautiful name! Glad to hear you're all doing well! I hope the antibiotics do their work and you'll be able to take your little one home soon! :)

  • I can't believe how close we are getting! All this talk of cribs and sorting clothes is making this all seem very real all of a sudden, lol! I'm at 32 weeks tomorrow and with my first I went 11 days late so in my head I've got at least 9 weeks left, but the reality is that I'll be full term in just four short weeks. :# I…
  • There's nothing wrong with having an energetic little one, I guess. Haha, just some motivation to take some extra naps now while I still can! ;)
  • Maybe try a prenatal workout video? Several of them have an express workout option of about 25-30 min. And you can have the laundry going at the same time ;)
  • Aw thanks! :) last time I was pregnant I gained 50 lbs and I lost less than half post partum. I'm finding the guide to be super helpful this time around! :)

  • I don't think I've changed too much at all. I never really drank alcohol or ate raw fish so no real change there. Coffee was never really my thing so I drink it about as often as I ever did which is maybe once in a blue moon.
  • My next appointment isn't until next Wednesday. On Monday I spoke to the midwife clinic on the phone and they basically just told me when I'm booked to see a dietitian, which isn't until next Friday, so i really didn't glean as much information as I had hoped I would. In the meantime, I've cleaned up my diet a LOT and am…
  • Um glad to hear you're doing well! And youre already below your prepregnancy weight!! Well done! I hope to see you at the post partum pack in 10-12 weeks. :)
  • ^^it looks like the link sends you directly to my results. Scroll down and you can enter in your own numbers. :)
  • Hi Nicki, For me personally, I set my diary settings to maintenance and I try to make sure I'm eating a balanced diet. Usually I eat at or slightly above my "goal" and I've been gaining nice and slowly. There are several pregnancy weight gain calculators on Google that you can try which will give you an overall idea of how…
  • My glucose test came back a little high again which apparently means that I *might* have gestational diabetes, and so my midwives want me to meet with a dietitian and to track my sugars. I just got back from vacation though so that's all the information I have from the message left on my answering machine. Hopefully I will…
  • @RosieRaz yep, if you're 29 cm then you're measuring at 29 weeks. It's a nice easy measurement to remember! I'm measuring at 27 weeks, so just a little behind (by 2 weeks). @katiebrew I'm glad you got some compliments to help brighten your day! :) great work getting out there moving! I heard recently that stretch marks…

  • Thanks for the advice. I need to retake my glucose test tomorrow because my levels were too high. Hopefully all come back fine, but I will be doing a such research as I can just in case they don't.
  • Just got the results from my glucose test. Apparently I didn't fail the test, but my levels were high enough to warrant the second test. :( planning on going tomorrow morning which means I have to fast starting at 10 tonight. Does anyone know if that includes water? I should have asked when my midwife called. I'm thinking…
  • @helenmelon29 I definitely need that kick in the butt too. I feel awful and I'm eating awful to make up for it. A vicious cycle. Tomorrow is a new day and I am determined to make it a better one. I think I will prelog my day now to hopefully make it go a little smoother. Today I saw my mom she made a big deal about how…
  • I've been doing poorly diet wise too. It seems like I just can't keep my calories in check very easily anymore. I know it's just a rut I'm stuck in and that with a little pushing, I can get out of it, but it's just so frustrating. I puffed up this morning at long last and my energy levels have plumetted to an all time low…

  • I had my glucose test today and I didn't follow my own tip... I ate at 8:30 and got to the clinic at 9:20. Drank the juice and then got blood taken at 10:20. Hopefully breakfast was far enough away! I was a little worried, and then I ate a poutine that I wasn't hungry for at lunch... almost like it could be my last for a…
  • I'm still pregnant, but after my last baby it took me a long time to get back to feeling like myself. A 5 minute walk would take 10-15 minutes and I didn't lose any weight for as long as I counted breastfeeding into my calories. I don't know about pain in the joints personally, but my mom tells stories about how she got…
