  • @KristenE83 that's great you're feeling good looking pregnant! :) and congrats on having TWO on the way! :) I also had my anatomy scan at 18 weeks with the first baby. Turns out they couldn't get some pics they wanted and I ended up going again at 22 weeks. @poke987 lol, the "B" stomach. I totally get it. As soon as we've…
  • @helenmelon29 i agree completely! We don't have medical bills like that where I am either. (Canada) I'm still in normal clothes, but I can just feel my body turning into that awkward "is she getting fat or is she pregnant?" stage. Yay, can't wait.... lol I get to hear the results of my dating ultrasound tomorrow! I'm…
  • Jennifer, I've got some similar stats. I'm 5'6.5" and I was 177.6 lbs when I found out at 5 weeks. (Im around 12 now) Add me if youd like. :) Sometimes I will eat upwards of 2000 calories but I will make up for it on other days by eating at my previous deficit, 1500 calories. So far i'm maintaining with slight…
  • For me I found out (with previous baby ) at 18 weeks which was my 20 week checkup.
  • Jut realized I missed a question. I got summer sanders prenatal workout dvd from Gaiam. I like it because they still make you do crunches, pushups, and squats even though you're pregnant.
  • Weighing in a day early. This was Thursday's weigh in. SW: 177.8 10w: 178.9 (+1.1) 11w: 177.6 (-1.3) 12w: 178.5 (+0.9) Total gain: +0.7 lbs Goal: gain around 25 lbs max (or to avoid hitting 200 ;))
  • Hi Kristen! Welcome to the group and congratulations! :) Glad to hear that your results are going well so far Sarieth! Summer, glad to you're able to find some bras that fit. Thankfully pregnancy doesn't mess with me too much in that area, but it does just enough to put me in weirder sizes than I wear normally. I will have…
  • Lol that was a huge deal for me the first time around... I went over my husband's weight for the first time ever and I went into the 200s. Those were some sad moments for me. This time around I'm at 177 and he's around 186 so I will probably surpass him, but I'm hoping to stay under 200. Even if it's 199. Lol! (I'm 5'7"…
  • Sorry for the typos... I'm on my phone and can't figure out how to edit....
  • I was given the clear at my six week appointment. I was told if I feel like it's too much to just stop. I did walk pretty quickly afterwards though bit I took it really slowly. (Took me 10 minutes to do a 5 minute walk....) I felt like walking within a week or two of delivery. Running or biking though? No. I didn't go…
  • Yup. I don't get it until I'm close to the 2nd trimester. I didn't feel pregnant at all in the first trimester. it makes sense. Baby is getting bigger and pressing on all your organs so things are shifting more now than earlier. It got easier for me around the middle of the 2nd trimester.
  • I actually thought it was amazing to weigh 10 lbs less than I did the day before. Lol! I should note that not all the weight came off (obviously because I gained so much). Just enough to make me happy in the moment. :)
  • SW: 177.8 10w: 178.9 (+1.1) 11w: 177.6 (-1.3) Total gain: -0.2 lbs Goal: gain around 25 lbs max I'm holding steady at maintenance. :)
  • WELL. lol I gained 50 my first pregnancy ( hoping to avoid that this time). Baby was 9lbs5oz. I was in the hospital for four days (baby had jaundice) and when I got home I had lost 5 lbs. Not even kidding. I was that bloated from the iv and just in general. Then two days later I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize…
  • The ultrasound went really well! I won't get the results for a couple weeks but I got to see baby wiggling around and even sucking his/her hand while crossing his/her legs. :-) I'll have to check out youtube for some videos, thanks! :)
  • My clothes are still fitting, but you can see a bump there. (I'm quite large in the chest so most of my clothes are baggie in the middle since I have to go a size up for that). I can't wait until the news is out so I don't have to suck my stomach in around my mother. Haha! Hopefully everyone is just attributing it to my…
  • Hello everyone! I'd love to join in here to keep myself on track. SW: 177.8 10w: 178.9 Total gain: 1.1 lbs Goal: gain around 25 lbs max
  • My daughter is 10 months old, so yeah it hasn't been that long. I didn't show until around 15 weeks last time so showing around 8 or 9 surprised me even though I'm 15 lbs heavier than I was last time. My wardrobe is in need of some baggy clothes now; I was postponing buying new things when I was losing weight. Even so, I'm…
  • To the moms who have had multiple pregnancies... how long after finding out you were pregnant with your second or subsequent kids did you start to show? I'm estimating that I'm only 10 weeks along but I'm having a really difficult time keeping things hidden. I was hoping to wait until mothers day to spring the news on the…
  • Summer, that sounds awful! I hope the flare ups stay far, far away!
  • I like greek yogurt with berries and granola. You could also switch up how you cook your eggs. I used to always eat them scrambled but now I eat them poached (and it actually does make a difference). You could also make an omelette with egg, spinach, mushroom, onion, tomato, etc.
  • Hi sarieth! Im due the beginning of November too! :) my first scan is this Friday and I'm really looking forward to it. I loved seeing the little gummy bear last time. I've been really lazy cooking recently and so we've had pizza and kfc for the last couple days. Add onto that some leftover easter candy and I'm up 2 lbs…
  • @RosieRaz wow! That's quite the jump in progression!
  • Really, eh? That's too bad. :( I hope you're able to find something that gives some relief! :( I've heard that natural is easier to recover from... but of course it's a recovery either way - just different. I had a good experience with it.
  • I had my power turned off for safety reasons (a tree limb took out a line going to my house) and we couldn't have it turned back on until the line got fixed. Also, since it was the part that attached to our house, it was our problem to deal with. So we called an electrician and got it dealt with. It was around November so…
  • Tragic, but not the power company's fault.
  • That the right way to lose weight is to eat less, not next to nothing (then crash and burn and consume every calorie in sight).
  • So this is where some people I know are getting their "information".... When I told them that my in-law's beef farm doesn't put any antibiotics into their cows (unless they're really sick... you know, kind of like what we would do ourselves if we were sick....) not because they're organic or whatever, but because that's…
  • My story is a little different, but yes I was surprised with both pregnancies. With my first I had only been married and living together for 6 months. We knew we wanted kids but we were thinking at least a year do the road. At the time though it was great I was growing sick of my job and couldn't wait for mat leave. this…
