  • FYI, a true plateau does not occur until weight loss stalls (meaning no losses) for approx. 6 weeks in a row. If you're losing every week, you're not at a plateau. I would recommend switching up your workouts and daily menu.

  • Healthy & sustainable rates of loss are the easiest to maintain, in my opinion. .5 lbs/week is nothing to be frustrated with. Think of it this way, less sagging skin & stress on your internal organs. Congrats on your losses.
  • Starvation mode is a myth where most western diets are concerned. It would take months of malnourishment to reach the point that most of us consider "starvation mode".
  • Deprivation leads to disaster for some people, so, it's good that you're treating yourself. Maybe you can try rounding out your diet a little to up the calorie intake? Focus on higher fat dairy, whole grains, lean proteins, nuts, nut butter, and things like avocado to meet your daily calorie goal.
