The last time I made chili, I bought the low sodium chili seasoning packet, along with low sodium tomato sauce. I couldn't tell one bit. Thanks, everyone, for all the input about how to season it without a packet, I'll do that next time.

I changed my settings so fiber shows up instead of sugar; I don't worry about it.

The gym I go to is in the hospital (I work there, but it isn't mandatory to be an employee to be a member). Some of the workers at the gym are volunteers; they generally work 4 hour shifts. Almost all of the workers work out during their shift. Call around, see if you could volunteer twice a week in exchange for a free…

Hmm, don't know what to tell you, except that may be a question for your doctor. I've been sitting here doing nothing for the last 30 minutes & my heart rate is 70.

Don't give up! One thing I keep telling myself is, "If you're tired of starting over, STOP QUITTING!" I know it's frustruating, I've maintained the last 5 weeks even though I'm eating to lose (maybe I didn't log those peanut clusters?!) But I don't really care, because I know I'm getting healthier. You can do this! Stick…

Net calories is the same as "remaining calories" in your food diary. Log your exercise & eat back anywhere from half to all of those calories.

I'm 5'3", 142#. I'm set at 1480 calories per day. I generally eat back all of my exercise calories. I lift 3 x per week, and do cardio 5 x per week. I don't give myself any extra calories for lifting. I do cardio so I can eat more!

It's been long enough you should be seeing some results. I eat late at night & I weigh in once a week. My best advice is, eat as many calories as you can (to still lose). I would start higher than 1200, your body is still going through lots of changes.

Mice, snakes & spiders (mostly when I walk into a web, eww!). I also couldn't sleep in our house when my husband removed the cover on the crawlspace. He made fun of me, but who knows what coulda came out of there to get me??

It was the opposite for me, I did cardio and lost like a champ...started lifting weights and my weight loss slowed waay down. My guess is you should still lose at 1500 calories, just cut the cheat days & give it a little more time.

Lightly active.

5'6" and 145 sounds plenty slender to me. I'm 5'3" and 142, with a GW of 136-138. I don't put a lot of stock into those charts, just "go with your gut" on this one.

Maurices, $29. I'm wienerdogcrazy, too!

Have a brownie, or a Mike's Hard Lemonade, or peanut butter. I had all 3 last night to use up my last 600 calories.
-
Dirty girl here. I just finished a brownie and a Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Good for you, I'm so happy for you! I feel like MFP has changed my life, too.

My Doctor is not a fan of diuretics. I wouldn't take any without your Doctor's say-so. As others have said, cut back on the sodium & drink lots of water. Bye bye ramen noodles!

Especially if you are exercising (and he's not) you obviously NEED more calories. Think of it like a 5k, you are only in competition with yourself. Try not to worry about anyone's eating habits but your own.

I drink between 9-14 glasses of water a day. I exercise (bike, treadmill, elliptical, whatever) 5-6 days a week. I eat back most (sometimes all) of my exercise calories. I eat whatever I want, but I feel that a week of eating chicken breast and salad is going to go better than a week of eating lasagna and french bread. The…

I would swap the grapefruit for 3 turkey sausage links to up your protein. I frequently have oatmeal with cranberries in it and sausage links.

I like to do cardio so I can eat more! Just do it, you know it's good for you!

My weigh day is Friday. That way, if I eat a lot over the weekend, I have time to work it off.

Sounds like maybe you're mixing the methods together...How did you "earn" 850 calories yesterday? That would be a heavy duty exercise session. If you mean you earned 850 from what your fitbit told you, isn't that calories you burn in a day (which MFP has accounted for)? If you like to wear the fitbit all day, use the TDEE…

If only this dress code was extended to civilians! Or Walmarts! Except for the PT uniform of t-shirt & shorts, I agree with all of it.

Don't worry so much about what you put in your mouth November & December; worry more about what you put in your mouth the rest of the year.

If you have so much trouble reaching your daily calorie intake, why can't you eat when you're out with friends?

Try it with canned pears and club crackers. The only brand I've tried that was nasty is Kraft Simply. This isn't really a low calorie option, but cottage cheese, dry strawberry jello, sweetened/sliced strawberries and a tub of cool whip is awesome!

Vanilla almond milk is great! It's like a melted milkshake. I drink it straight, use in cereal & oatmeal. I tried the plain, unsweetened almond milk & didn't much care for it. My husband, who is not a milk drinker, even likes it. 90 calories a cup.

A co-worker noticed first, at 15 pounds lost. Tons of people started commenting at 25 pounds lost.

Wow, way to change your life! I'm so proud of you!
