All good advice. He has to lose weight/exercise for himself. If he's just doing it for you it will never last. I think your focus should shift from his weight problem to your no food/no gas problem. Is there a food bank in your area? I'm sorry you're going through this, good luck to you & congrats on your weight loss

You'll get some men to weigh in on your post, but my suggestions are: tell MFP you want to gain a pound or pound and a half a week, then you know your calorie goal. Go heavy on the protein; greek yogurt is a good source. A better breakfast would be bacon & eggs. Lift heavy, skip cardio. Good luck!

Expect a 5 pound gain when switching to maintenance. This isn't actual fat, but your glycogen stores being replaced.

Aleve or Ibuprofen before walking is a good idea. You should also do daily stretches for your back. You could do an exercise video, so if you need to stop/rest you're already at home. Think of it this way, you're not losing much weight now, so go ahead and up your calories and see what happens. The worst that will happen is,,,you don't lose weight.

The same thing happens to me all the time...orthostatic hypotension. Your BP bottoms out when you change positions. One thing that helps me-- if I'm lying down I stretch my legs and flex my feet before rising.

The bigger you are, the more you have to lose before people will notice. My sister is 5'3", started at 230 & is down to 195; I can just now barely tell a difference.

It's too soon to panic. There are numerous reasons why your weight fluxuates. Keep doing what you're doing, it sounds like you're on the right track.

Miralax is good. When I have trouble, I eat 5 prunes and 5 dried apricots per day, plus I eat a 100 calorie bag of microwave popcorn at night. I stopped taking calcium pills and vitamins, I think they were interferring with business.

I think Twinkies are gross, but Zingers are great! And so are oatmeal creme pies. I've never tried (or even seen) the orange cupcakes.

I lift 5x5, 30# on each side using a Smith machine. I don't know how much the bar weighs. I'd appreciate knowing my total if anyone knows. I weigh 130 pounds.

Take a break, see your doc. What Utah said...look up incarcerated bowel if you don't know what it is, you do not want that.

16 oz cottage cheese pkg of dry strawberry jello a container of cool whip frozen, sliced/sugared strawberries (thawed). Mix it all together, YUM! You can get creative, mandarin oranges/orange jello, pears/green jello, etc. I like the strawberry the best.

First, change to 1# a week loss, that should give you a few more calories. Exercise & then eat back those calories. Greek yogurt is filling, give it a try.

I don't have a regular "cheat meal", but I do go over sometimes. I would consider a Chinese Buffet a cheat meal. I think of a cheat meal as being a meal you really want, calories be damned.
