10 months. From 188-138#. I lost the first 30 in 4 months, then took 6 months to lose the last 20.

I recently made a similar crust, but with shredded zucchini. It wasn't exactly low calorie but my husband & I both really liked it!
-
I went over by approx 1300 today because I enjoyed a chinese buffet. I logged it. I don't have specific 'cheat days' but I occasionally go way over when at a party, on vacation or out to eat/drink. It hasn't hindered my progress whatsoever.

I've heard it takes 2 years of regular exercise/weight lifting to shrink your skin up. Think of it like your little secret, no one can see it with your clothes on. As for your bf, I'm sure he doesn't care about a few stretch marks.
-
I went from regular soda to diet pop. Then I switched to one diet, caffeine free soda a day. After that, only water. It was better for me to do it slowly rather than cold turkey.

You're moving into maintenance and you're just now wondering about this? Does that mean you've never been over while losing weight?
-
You can always go to the "Search" tab & look for prior topics. Peanut butter, nuts, and guacamole are good options to increase your calories.

Is it possible your depression is making you hate your body? Focus on your mental health and weightlifting.

So, say you make it to your goal weight and get married...will your entire marriage consist of him monitoring your weight? Imagine him telling you you've had enough pasta, or you can't have ice cream, or asking you if you've exercised today. Is that how you want to live? He needs to find a thin person, and you need to find…

I'm frequently over on sodium, too. I try to be under the day before I weigh in, otherwise I don't worry about it. It helps to pre log your food for the day, so you can juggle things around if you need to. Oatmeal, greek yogurt, & mahi mahi are low in sodium.

I shred carrots & put them in chili & potato soup. I shred zucchini or squash & add it to just about anything. I used to add cheese whiz to broccoli & cauliflower, now I can eat it with just pepper. Try everything again, you may find you don't hate veggies like you thought you did!

I eat back all of my exercise calories. I'd rather lose weight eating as much as possible.
-
The machines I use let me program in my age & weight. I take the lowest number (which is usually the machine), but there usually isn't that wide of a spread for me.
-
Your story made me cry. What struggles you have overcome! You are an amazing woman!
-
I can say with certainty (after 14 years of marriage), if I asked for 4 weeks of clean eating my husband would do it willingly & gladly.
-
While I don't think he should be deprived of things he loves, he should be willing to compromise in SOME way. Maybe buy just one ice cream, and a flavor you don't like? Early on for me, I would only buy snacks I didn't like...but I assume he's doing the buying? How about buying some stuff for you that would be YOUR yummy…

Super job! You look so happy! I cut my hair once I lost 50# also (I was on my way before I joined mfp).

I pulled out my measurement chart, I think mostly it depends on if you are heavy or close to your ideal weight. August Waist 35" Hips 40" October Waist 33" Hips 39" December Waist 30" Hips 37 1/2" February Waist 30" Hips 37 1/2"

I don't see a difference, but that doesn't mean you're not making progress! Soon you should feel a difference in the way your clothes fit. I'm 5'3 and didn't really see a difference until I'd lost 20 pounds. Keep it up!

I dip apple slices in vanilla flavored greek yogurt.
-
I always have turkey sausage links in the freezer; just pop them in the microwave for a minute. I think 3 links has 8 g of protein.
-
I think it looks pretty good, too. You usually do well on your water intake-good job on that. Easy switches might be to incorporate greek yogurt into your day for more protein, or switch the Fiber One bars to Fiber One Protein (caramel nut are delicious!) Sodium gets me sometimes, too...It helps to pre-log and then change…

Just look at "Remaining" calories and eat them. I generally eat back all my exercise calories.
-
I could tell a difference in the way my clothes fit around 8 pounds, but it was 20 pounds before I could see it in the mirror for myself. Being tall, you can spread your weight out more than us shorties, so it probably will take longer for you to notice a difference. Keep it up, you'll be so glad you did! You're off to a…

I take all those comments ("skinnie minnie, you're a stick, aren't you done yet?") as compliments. I say thank you and move on. I think they get used to seeing us a certain way (overweight) and then it's a shocker when we get small.
-
Maybe, maybe not.

I saw my GP, he wasn't overly concerned. It doesn't have to be a specific issue (low iron, anemia, low protein). My doc thought it happened because I had been in a near constant deficit for months, and it was my body's way of saying it was getting worried. He thought it would work itself out withing 6 months.
-
My strategy is this: I weigh once a week, on Friday morning. If I'm going to do any overeating, it's on the weekends...and I have all week to 'fix' it. Under no circumstances do I weigh in after a bad day; I don't like seeing the scale go up even if I know it's probably water retention.
-
I lost about 50% of my hair after about 6 months of being in a deficit. I started taking vitamins, plus an extra Biotin supplement. I also bought a Bosley Thickening Treatment system from my hairdresser (shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment). I also got my hair cut. My doctor said it would work itself out after about 6…

I don't regularly do Cheat Days or Cheat Meals; I just wait until an occasion arises. On those days I try to stay at maintenance calories. I think to myself, "I didn't lose weight TODAY".
