You can try. Start today, make a commitment. Even if you haven't lost all twenty pounds, you'll still be closer to your ultimate goals than you were yesterday. With a higher starting weight, it seems more feasible than if you were only a little overweight. Be persistent and consistent, log everything (weigh & measure it,…

You look like a completely different person! Your hard work paid off - congrats! You look fantastic!

You probably didn't gain three pounds in three days. I get cravings up to two weeks before my period, that's how I know it's coming. You could be retaining water. What's your sodium like? How tall are you?

A smidge under 5'4" and I started at 234.6, I'm 211.8 now, and my goal weight is 125-130 pounds. I'd like to meet my goal by next May for my wedding.

I just turned 23 yesterday. I'm just under 5'4" and I started at 234.6 pounds, I'm at 211.8 at my last weigh-in. I love having friends on here. Feel free to add me.

My fiancé works out with me and has changed his eating habits to be healthier, too. He has always been very supportive. He doesn't deliberately tempt me. He always looks at my food diary at the end of the day and tells me that I've done well--if I'm worried about being under/over something, he talks it over with me until I…

It was about ten pounds for me, actually. I still wear my 18s, but I could go buy some snug 16s if I wanted to (I can zip and button my 18s and pull them down/off without unzipping or unbuttoning them--but 16s are still a little snug, so I'm at this awkward in between size right now and a belt doesn't help with the pant…

Food stress basically ruined my birthday (and my fiancé's--two birthdays, extra food) for me yesterday. I can handle smaller treats without too much stress if I can fit them in my day & log them correctly on MFP, but an entire day off plan to "enjoy food" wasn't very fun.

I have clinical depression & generalized anxiety disorder; I'm recovering from self-injury. The best thing for me has been to focus on the food and not force myself into activity. I wouldn't be performing at my best anyways & I recover more quickly when I allow myself rest (instead of forcing myself into activities).

Do some aggressive exercise. Sorry to hear about your breakup.

I'm not quite a success yet. Just under 5'4" (as in, I'm 5'3.85" so I round up). SW: 234.6 CW: 211.8 GW: 125-130

This. No way would I be with my fiancé if he decided to pull that. Negatively comment on my body and then turn around to admire other women's figures? Nope. You don't have to settle for that bull, OP.
-
Screw him! I would have shot something right back at him! Like my fist. Or, if he didn't seem like he needed to lose weight, I would have said, "Cool, we can lose 20 pounds together. I know that will get you motivated to lose the rest when we're done."

I'm in Wisconsin. Born and raised, & now I can't leave because my car is frozen to the ground.

Tell her to eat clean at maintenance or above if she doesn't think calorie deficits matter. Hopefully she'll come around soon. Just keep doing what you're doing, and your results will speak volumes.

1. My fiancé is on my FL. 2. He is, he knows. 3. No, I would act the same. I'm kind, but no-nonsense. He knows that already.

You look so great! Congratulations--your hard work paid off, you should be so proud! :)

Yes, I lose but I don't like it :grumble: All I want is chocolate and cake in massive portions and to also lose weight. Is that too much to ask for? ETA: I lose, but I don't see the loss until after my period is over. I hold onto the water weight, the scale goes up or stays the same (sometimes it goes down), and then I see…

I'm going to be 23 tomorrow and I started with 109 pounds to lose (I have 87 to go). Does that count? :)

In like this ^

I love this. How do you know someone eats clean? Don't worry, they'll f-ing TELL YOU.
-
I eat "unclean" IIFYM and I've lost 22 pounds since December.

Some content can be for adults only and, like another user said, posts are not strictly moderated. Also, internet predators are everywhere. Also, anyone under 18 should be consulting their doctor for weight-related concerns. We all should consult our physicians before beginning any program intended to reduce weight,…

This. And to answer the question, I generally weigh in every other day--sometimes more (every morning--I do not weigh in multiple times per day, that would be disastrous), sometimes less. If it's the day before my weigh-in and I know I went off my typical menu and may be retaining water, I hold off for another day because…

I'm in WI! Below freezing everyday for weeks in my area. Still fat. What the hell.

Horrible & unnecessary. :ohwell:

Pretty much. Watch your sodium, though. Don't go overboard with other macros. Basically what JoRocka said.

I don't buy clothes as motivators simply because I've always had a problem identifying size. I have never walked into a store and picked something even close to my size unless I was buying literally the same thing in the same size (like a pair of jeans I needed to replace). This applies to shoes, too. My perception has…
