  • I have to stay clear of that website. It just scares me!

  • Haha!! I bought a box of the Fiber One bars when they first came out. Oh my GOD. Nothing makes you fart like a Fiber One bar. I actually thought they were pretty tasty, but sorry.. I'll just take my fiber in small portions rather than all at once!
  • I agree with you guys. Strength training changed my body much more significantly than running ever did. However, doing both has given me great results. Plus I don't believe anything replaces running outside. But I do it more for how it makes me feel. And for the endurance it gives. It just can't be mimicked by any other…
  • Not that I can really have an opinion on the matter, but I don't see anything wrong with it. I know it sucks in the military because we got big dudes who are in good shape, but get kicked out for not meeting weight standards. They can pass the physical tests and everything.
  • Yes! It makes a huge difference! But I realized since finding this site, that it doesn't make hardly any if you aren't watching your diet. I ran and ran and ran for years, but I ate horribly thinking I could do so because I was a runner. And I couldn't lose a single pound from running. Since finding this site, it's been…
  • Try unsweet tea with a slice of lemon squeezed into it. You won't like it at first (I sure didn't) but now I love it. I just kept ordering it and now it's actually very refreshing. By ordering that, I was able to quit soda for a couple months. I drink diet now (i don't care how bad it is for me... I probably do more harm…
  • I never had a problem, no. It was pretty much my transition into the military and all my past marital problems that sort of drove me into a 30 lb weight gain. I was just depressed and drank a lot and ate really awful. My first goal was to get back to pre-military weight and I've done it! My job before the miltiary also had…
  • I sweat a lot, but it doesn't bother me! If I'm not sweating, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Not only do I sweat during the cooldown, but even after I shower and carry on the rest of the day, i could still be sweating long after the shower. That part is pretty annoying!
  • Ha! I don't care about sodium intake. I don't overdo it, but I also don't restrict it either. Hopefully I'm neutral enough not to die either way.
  • I'm with you on jeans. No matter what I've weighed, it's always been impossible. You don't really know how they're going to fit, anyway, until you wear them all day. I've spent a lot of money on jeans that seemed to work in the dressing room, but as the first day in them progressed, they just did NOT work. And then…
  • My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy for liking this!! I had no idea there were health benefits. I just do it cuz it feels sooooo good!
  • Throw out perfectly good food? Man America is a strange country. I would say make omelets or maybe a breakfast burrito? I like what newmammaluv says.

  • If I had the time and motivation to prepare it in the mornings, I so would! I love fish.
  • Hahaha. Oh god yes.... this ginger fries out in the sun within minutes =)
  • 2lbs in 2 weeks is an awesome accomplishment, what are you getting discouraged for?? I know a lot of people's goals are to lose 2lb a week, but honestly I don't think that's realistic for everyone's bodies. Slow and steady weight loss is best, I think. When I work out in the morning I get the same way, so I be sure to eat…
  • Well that's all good to hear... I know I've seen it around here before, but it just doesn't seem that common so i was just wondering. I tend to be a little paranoid about the simplest stuff!!
  • Apples are notorious for being a good filling food. Lots of fiber. If I'm starving an apple will almost always shut me up.
  • Love it. It's tough at those work events. We went out on sort of a field trip this week and lunch was at Golden Coral. I got the stink eye from other females for getting small portions of only a couple things, only getting one plate of food, and only one dessert. You know, I'm just so used to eating small portions…
  • That's terribly sad. I can't judge her though... I don't know how I'd feel/act in her situation. Staying sane despite it all is a full time job, for sure.
  • 'In essence, people who ate breakfast could control their energy intake better for the rest of the day. They didn't gain any weight but the breakfast skipping group did. Fat gain always affects insulin sensitivity and other health parameters negatively. Thus what people took this to mean is that breakfast is healthy and…
  • I wasted thousands on my gym membership, but never actually got results until I went the DVD route. I used to have this perception that DVD workouts don't work, that they were just one fad after another that duped people out of their money. Since I picked up P90X and have seen people's results on here from various DVD…
  • Wonderful. So I shoud just take a stranger's word for it off an internet forum? Do you have any links to information on the subject? Who told you this? Where is this coming from? Because within moments I could have a huge list of sources explaining how important breakfast is.
  • I don't advise skipping breakfast. That just sounds like a terrible idea. I don't know about anybody else but when I skip breakfast I'm more likely to eat more junk later on in the day just because I'm so starving.
  • Definitely!! Great job.. looking good!!
  • I'm a runner, not really a walker. But I took the dog through some trails at a state park for two hours on Sunday. We walked 5.5 miles, lots of ups and downs. WOW! I was 10 times more sore than I am after a 4 mile run! It's tuesday now and it still hurts to sit on the john. I will never scoff at walkers again!
  • I was thinking about maintaining (since I did reach my original goal) and I even tried it out for a week. I think it's a psychological thing for me, because I had NO problem eating the extra calories. In fact it terrified me, because I'm so accustomed to going over a couple (or even 100-200 every once inawhile) I started…
  • I know EXACTLY what you mean! I dated a guy who really wanted me to go to the gym with him, or if I mentioned I was going he'd say "Oh, can I come?" and I had to be blunt with him and tell him that my gym/workin out time was ME time. I like to be myself, listen to my music, sweat a ton, not worry about what my hair is…
  • I eat a big dinner and a night snack... worked fine for me! Otherwise I'd just be grumpy and that's no fun =)
