QUESTION OF THE DAY, Friday June 3rd: With the weather warm and our bodies more beautiful ech week, I want to know how do YOU reward yourself during your weightloss journey that is NOT edible? I haven't built any rewards into my weightloss journey. I definitely have weigh milestones, but no rewards associated with them.…

QOTD: Thursday, June 2 What is your greatest inspiration in your weight loss journey? My biggest inspirations have been: *Joel Fuhrman, MD -- who is challenging and changing my paradigm about eating healthfully. *My (cancer) patients -- who choose daily to fight to achieve even a fraction of the level of health and fitness…

I used to sell it. Save your money and learn how to "Eat for Health" or "Eat to Live" using real food. Herbal supplements can't duplicate the power or pleasure of nutrient rich food.

I would love to say that I've given up white flour, sugar, salt, and oil. The best I've done is given them up for a week or so...before falling back into my old habits/cravings. It's a…

QOTD May 31st..... If you could make any ONE food (or drink) a zero calorie, "free" food, what would it be? That's easy: NUTS!! I totally O-M-G heart nuts!! To date, one of the most fun things I've ever done was take an impromptu Spring Break trip to Puerto Rico. Six college kids who mostly did not know each other, came together for an amazing holiday. One of the kids still had family there, so we stayed with his uncle. Rattling around in a beat-up old truck...we went dancing…

QOTD Thursday: Do you have a 'bucket list' and what are the top three items? What a great question! I don't have a bucket list per se, just things I'd love to do. Three (of many) In no particular order: 1) Live in another country for 6 months, a year, or longer! (England and/or or a country in Latin/South America) 2)…

Question of the Day: What was the final straw that finally spurred this weight loss journey? My response: For me it started with "a series of unfortunate events." I think what topped it off was when I realized that my "fat" pants, which I once wore with the aid of safety pins, fit me snugly -- without the safety pins.

Morning Ladies! My Answer: One thing I've learned is that quality of calories matters more than quantity of calories. I can eat volumes of highly nutritious, satisfying foods that just happen to be low calorie. I don't count calories. I only measure food to keep track of how much I need to feel satisfied.
