Probably, because while walking increases NEAT, unless you're walking fast, it's not cardio.

If your weight is plateauing, I do not think you're eating as little as you think (1300-1500). Now, with that said, chicken is the closest thing to pure protein one can eat, aside from protein shakes. And, whole chickens are pretty cheap.

If you have emotional issues surrounding food, I would highly suggest you seek out a therapist to deal with those issues. Most methods will fail until you address the mental health aspect. Now, that being said, don't let it stop you. You are capable of doing two things at once :)

Around 98. Doctors sat down, and figured out the cut-off was too high, and matched it to the WHO's findings for when obesity related problems start to correlate.

Echoing the above. Outdoor bike + trainer.

According to the maps passed around by the USDA, I live in a food desert. Although, I have two grocery stores within 2 miles. As for being 40 miles from a grocery store... Well, when you choose to live remotely from civilization, well, you don't get the amenities of civilization. Sorry, but that's life. Want to be closer…

I live in a food desert. I eat healthy. And, it's cheaper than not eating healthy.

People at a healthy weight tend to be able to keep their bodies regulated. On the Twinkie diet, that person's blood pressure came down, as well as serum triglycerides... So, that person got healthier. On Twinkies. Of course. Thin doesn't always mean totally healthy. Lots of thin people with cancer, or measles, or whatever.…

You do know one can lose weight by eating McDonald's, right?
-
It's actually not, really. You don't need to eat out to eat healthy. And, it's always cheaper to eat less.
-
Eating less of it, however, is always cheaper :)

He probably came up with the 50 lbs number, as it seems pretty close, actually, from your pics. It wouldn't take too long to guess that number, and the idea of buying new clothing after that much weight loss is probably the very first thing you'd need to do (Well, you'd need to do it throughout as well). If you have been…

Yes, I only ever changed my calorie goal by 100 at a time, up or down. And, as I approached maintenance, I shrunk my deficit, so not going from losing 2 lbs/week --> maintenance. And, I figured out my maintenance by trial and error, and using trendweight.com

More than environment, I think it's company you keep. If you keep company with fit people, guess what? The group will want to do more active things, and you'll tend to do so as well. If you keep company with couch potatoes, same: You'll do more things like going out to eat, instead of going for a walk.
-
I did, a little. But, I also went into maintenance: * Slowly * ~2 lbs under goal weight It allowed a little "bounce" while I got used to maintenance, and the slow progression helped keep the bounce minimal. I only noted that every time I changed my deficit, it took about a week to get into the expected weight change.…

It's the gym I use, but I'm not a huge lifter. Their free weights tend to be limited (Most of their locations max out at 50 lb dumb bells, and all machines). They tend not to be crowded, in my experience, but that really depends on location. I generally use PF for the mat area to do body weight exercises, and to run when…

It is that simple. Science, it works. You must eat at, or below, your TDEE to maintain/lose weight. It's pure science.
-
I would be skeptical too. Something changed: You either ate more, or were less active.
-
Log your food. Eat below caloric goal. No weight will be added. It's like science, or something!
-
If you're swapping out full calorie soda for green tea, it'll help by reducing your caloric intake.
-
If you are addicted to diet coke, I suggest enrolling in a drug rehab program.
-
Personally, I see kayaking when starting out more strength training than cardio, so I don't log it.
-
Um, not, it's not. If you spill coke on your hand, you can lick it off. If you spill battery acid on your hand, skin starts dissolving. The molar content is vastly different.

Oranges cause cancer in rats, too. Male rats, specifically. Should we avoid oranges?

Love the DOMS. Embrace the DOMS. Soon, you'll start missing it.

Myth Busted! (Apparently): http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/muscle-mystery-does-denatured-protein-still-make-you-grow.html As you are happy to change your opinion, because of science, as am I :)

I'm pretty sure QOL is always a determinant in how healthy one is.
-
So, as long as I only eat less than 30g of sugars, I can consume 1 lb of protein powder a day, and lose a pound a week? MAGIC!
-
Reducing caloric intake will not cause a stall in weight loss. However, 1200 is pretty low. For me? Pretty painful, and non-sustainable long term. However, your log is not viewable, so any advice is a shot in the dark.
