  • I think that out of everyone, the group trusts Daryl & Carol to be out on their own. Daryl & Carol have the strongest instincts, and Rick (and by proxy, everyone else) trusts that they can fend for themselves and come back when it's safe. The theory that next week might be Beth's story leading up to Daryl bringing her back…
  • Also, I don't think it is Morgan or someone new because Daryl walked out of the woods FIRST. Daryl is smart; there is NO WAY he would keep his back to someone he didn't know or trust.
  • I don't think its Carol, but at the same time, how did Daryl and Carol get seperated? Only a day has passed at this point, right? It's also not Beth, although I am not sure what to make of the clip of her in that hospital. Is she back in Atlanta? It *might* be Morgan, but the only reason I don't think it is is because of…
  • I count the whole time that I am working out, and I try to keep my rest breaks to a minimum (30-60 secs). Do whatever feels accurate to you. Maybe if you trained for 20 mins but you know you took a couple long breaks, log it as 15 mins?
  • Week 2 Beginner/Beth Cardio: 65/80 :disappointed: Strength: 30/45 :disappointed: Character Video: Yes Punishment: Yes Calorie Goal: Yes
  • Last week's Beth video was a good little workout...the Denise Austin one was hard to watch.
  • I'm scared...my office mate has been *really* sick all week and now today I am feeling a bit yucky...throat swelling, a little achy...echinacea tea, here I come!
  • I dread actually doing it...but once I've done it, I feel great  65 mins cardio, 5 min punishment so far this week.
  • "Beginner MVPs are Brightsideofpink and MissTiffamee" Great job you two! Very inspirational.
  • Is anyone else a little daunted by the workload this week? I had to make a schedule to try to fit everything in before Friday...I hope the minutes don't keep increasing every week... :astonished:
  • No spoilerssssssssssssss!! I am having the hardest time today *not* looking at the boards. I'll watch it when I get home...or rather, after I go for a 45-min walk ;)
  • Cardio: 93/70 Strength 40/40 Within calorie goal for the week: NO :( (over by 84 cals for the week) Character task completed: YES (BETH)
  • Holy crap, you are doing it twice?! I am way too sore for that.
  • He was Barry on True Blood! I knew I recognized him! That's awesome. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2421211/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t19
  • Okay, did it! WHEW! That was *not* easy. I recruited hubby to do it too, so I didn't suffer alone ;p. I managed by dragging over our fluffy ottoman and resting my forearms on it for the burpees, mountain climbers and toe taps. @maphammonds Surprisingly, I didn't feel much from the Bridge Kicks either... (?) Man am I out of…
  • Be very afraid. :smiling_imp: http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/turkish-getup
  • Okay, I lurked in some of the other threads and those teams eat burpees for breakfast. If we really wanna make 'em sweat, I vote Turkish Getups. Those suuuuuuuuuuck.
  • OooOooh I don't know, I actually see it the other way 'round. Carol & Daryl have similar backgrounds (abusive family members), whereas Beth is the opposite--she came from a loving family and is open about her feelings. I think this appeals to Daryl; I feel like he would be more intrigued by Beth than Carol. Carol is a…
  • Not yet! That's my plan for this evening b/c it is pouring rain here for the next two days. I'm a little worried b/c I watched the first few minutes and there seems to be a lot of burpees, planking, etc. and I have an arm/wrist/hand issue that precludes me putting weight on it, so I am going to have to modify a bunch of…
  • Hello everyone! I've been on MFP for awhile, but like many of you, this is my first challenge. I mainly use MFP for logging and I don't really post on the forums or accept friends (please don't be offended!), but I saw this challenge and thought it might help me get active again. And I love TWD! After moving & changing…
  • Hi, I would like Beginner & Beth please!
  • 1 can of chocolate frosting 1 jar of peanut butter 1 bag of chocolate chips 1 bag of reese's peanut butter chips (for baking) Stir all together in a giant mixing bowl, eat with spoon. I haven't done that in a decade or so, but I still remember how awesome it was.
  • EXACTLY! I never insist that special food be made for me, nor do I show up with 'my own' food to a dinner party (which a lot of articles suggest, but I find that to be rude)--I am perfectly happy to eat the sides provided, not to mention that having fewer options helps me keep my calorie intake down at such events! I don't…
  • Wow, the timing of this post--I just had this very problem at lunch with coworkers. I am NOT a vegetarian, but the only meat I eat is fish & some seafood (very occasionally). I do not consider myself a vegetarian because I feel like vegetarians would not consider me a vegetarian. HOWEVER, my coworkers are very fond of…
  • GET OUT OF MY LIFE!! I've had the same problem this past year--switching from an active, on-my-feet, lifting heavy objects job, to a sit-in-front-of-a-computer for 8.5 hours and commute another hour a day job. I gained 14 lbs in about 5 months (shows how many cals I burned before!) and was struggling to fit into the new…
  • If your glucose & insulin are fine, it may be your blood pressure. Exercise can cause blood pressure changes (whether high or low; depends a lot on where your natural blood pressure sits), and during cooldown, your body is trying to regulate back to its norm. Those changes may be making you dizzy. Edit: Hydration is…
  • I like Rainbow Light Protein Energizer. I love the chocolate, but the vanilla is actually good too (a lot of vanilla-flavoured things taste too sweet or chemical-y to me). It's in the MFP database, so you can check out the stats. No gluten, yeast, milk, eggs, soy, nuts, or fish products. It's brown rice protein-based, and…
  • Yes! I struggle with balancing between keeping my blood sugar stable but also not eating over my calorie limit for the day. It's tough. About 5 years ago, I got really into strength training and was lifting a split program 5 days a week and eating 1g protein per pound every day. This naturally meant that my carb intake…
  • On the slim chance that a spot opens up, I'd like to be waitlisted please. I'm a Ravenclaw, but Slytherin is my 'back-up' house. Thanks for doing this! It's a great, fun idea and its really awesome of you to put so much time & effort in.
