  • I haven't, yet. But, I've been thinking about it. If for no other reason that to help myself remember to take them.
  • I totally get that. I've always hated shopping when I wasn't at my "happy weight". I swear dressing rooms should have tissue boxes in them, I've shed many tears trying to find something flattering to wear that night/afternoon/weekend. Congratulations!
  • I want to stop shouting "Do NOT tag me!" whenever anyone pulls out a camera.
  • If you're near a Trader Joe's they have a sour cream and onion version of their Unburied Treasure (like Pirate's Booty). Here are the stats http://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/trader-joes-unburried-treasure-sour-cream-onion-corn-puffs But, sometimes a small portion of the real thing is the only way to get…
  • I've had that happen to me recently and just put it up to vertigo, I get it from time to time when my ears are a bit "off" from sinus congestion. But, I think you should talk to your Doc about it just to be on the safe side. Just check it out...don't let it derail your great efforts, though!
  • Definitely pack food, and not just snack type items. Whenever my husband or I fly, I always pack us a bento. You can pack a lot into a small box and you can do a disposable container or one that you can fill for the return flight. There's nothing like having a good meal on a flight that can be stressful. And, it makes me…
  • Ugh. I'm so sorry. So much of the television/movies geared towards children are filled with smart *kitten*, rude banter. But, it starts and ends with the parents. We are here to teach our children kindness and empathy. I've flipped around and told children that don't belong to me not to speak "that way"...a knee jerk…
  • Ants hate cinnamon, they won't cross a line of it. It's my first line of defense when the little buggers try and invade us in the Spring.
  • Here's the article that got me started cooking them from dried and freezing. It has lots of good tips on using the slow cooker and how to freeze them in "can sized portions". I went to the Corningware Outlet and bought a lot of the 2 cup Pyrex glass bowls with lids and that's what I freeze mine in. Just sit them in fridge…
  • Brazil nuts are not a favorite of mine. But, absolutely love all the others! I almost always have pecans, walnuts, peanuts and cashews on hand...yum, now I want nuts. I adore toasting them. The nut aisle at Trader Joe's makes me swoon. They have a Rosemary Dusted Marcona Almond that is way too expensive for my budget, but…
  • I mentioned Almond Butter sandwiches, but it's great on toast for a on the go breakfast!
  • Almond butter on whole wheat bread or packed to dip apple slices in. Hummus either in a whole wheat pita or packed as a dip with veggies. I do up "egg mcmuffins" for my husband. I'll buy a pack of whole wheat english muffins (sandwich thins or bagel thins would work, too) . I set up an assembly line with low fat cheese…
  • If you have a Trader Joe's in your area, they sell a fizzy mineral water in several different flavors that is really good and fairly inexpensive. I find it hits the spot better than any other substitute for my friend, Diet Pepsi...I totally get what you mean by "bite". The lime is our fave. It zeroes out across the board…
  • Yes, yes, yes! I put the Netflix app on my iTouch and stream movies/shows using my gym's wifi while I'm on the treadmill. Total love for Netflix!!!
  • BMI and weight are so ambiguious, because they don't take into account your body composition. You can have two women of identical heighth, frame and weight with different Body Fat % and you'll have much different measurements and clothing sizes. My ultimate goal is to be in the fitness range of Body Fat Percentage for…
  • I have one sitting in my Amazon cart right now...waiting for payday to hit "SEND" ; ) Thanks for the review...I'm so excited now!
  • I just had my first one not too long ago, and loved it, too! In fact, I was just craving some...might have to sneak out to the store now.
  • I love to mix a tablespoon of orange juice with 2 tablespoons of Trader Joe's white basalmic vinegar...so yummy!
  • I try to remember that my husband, daughter and friends are smart, picky people...and they love me. I'm worthy of their love and I have to love myself, too. I've told myself that so many times that it's gotten to the point where I'll start thinking something negative about myself and I'll blurt out, "I love you!"…
  • Don't worry, everyone has to start learning somewhere and you'll pick it all up in no time. You can always Google stuff to get an image of what you're looking for, that always helps me. Hang in there. As for Bay Leaves, we always believed that it was lucky to find the bay leaf in your serving...but, we never ate it.…
  • I'm not an expert, but I'd guess the commuter style. But, I think it's going to be a personal choice unless you're planning on going on rough trails. Is there a bike shop in your area where you can go in for a "test ride". I know our REI allows them. I have an Electra Amsterdam and it's a commuter style. You sit upright…
  • I wish people wouldn't speak without thinking. I'm so sorry you're hurt, but try to focus on the positive changes you're making...not a clerk's thoughtless remark. It helps me to focus on what I can change...and, to imagine hurtful comments and thoughts as balloons that I just let fly away. Hang in there!
