Finally, an update on the continuing weight situation. I'm still gaining at 2000-2100, but my measurements seem to be headed in the right direction. My waist measurement has gone from 27 to 26 in, & my hips measurement has gone from 30 to 31 in! Progress! I can also see increased muscle mass on my arms & thighs. Even…

My scale broke last week (cheap scale/worn out battery) & it's driving me crazy not being able to weigh in for the week! Last Monday, I'd gone down to 114.2, but I'm dying to know how much it's changed since then. :( I'll probably just end up buying a new scale, since efforts to fix this one have been pretty unsuccessful,…

Thanks, ladies!!! I will take all of your advice, & just ride this thing out for a while, maybe check back with all of you in a few weeks. :) Happy lifting :)

Oh, as for my exercise regimen, in January, I did a beginner's weight lifting class at my university. Since completion, I've been working on The New Rules of Lifting for Women. Before that, I would lift at the gym on a rare occasion (mostly arm stuff, like bicep curls), & do a lot of bodyweight strength training like…

I'm about 5'4. My lifts are going well - I'm kind of puny, so I just chug along the best I can. I can see a lot of increased mass (firm like muscle) on my thighs & arms, maybe a little on the butt. I do log drinks - even tea & coffee. My food diary is open, for anyone who wants a look. I was at about 108 in November, but…

HMVOL: I don't think I had a period in February (not uncommon for me… I didn't have one for quite some time), so I'm not sure if any of those fluctuations would have affected my weight during this time. lila: I am quite confident in my maintenance calories - that's been where I've maintained since I started a new job last…

Yup, that is the plan. :)

I'm going to start one when I get my body fat level tested at the gym by a trainer, if I find out for sure that it's low enough to justify it. I've looked at a couple plans, but haven't started anything. I don't currently do cardio, but if my body fat is higher than 21%, I'll probably start HIIT or something.

Well, this one just put me at 17%, so I'm inclined to like it too. :3 Question, though - is the waist measurement for this one supposed to be at the narrowest part (natural waistline) or at the navel? I used both measurements, got 19% for navel, 17% for natural.
-
EEP, I just used that one & got 9%, which is definitely not correct. I'm guessing I'll just have to wait on the calipers.

Oh no!! Fat 2 fit was what I used! :O Maybe I shouldn't panic...

Well, my goal is to have a more athletic & healthy look. I do feel kind of skinny-fat, to be honest. I'm definitely small, but I have fat in really unattractive places, like my stomach (& not my boobs, which I also hoped might be helped by a bulk, lol). I'll have a more accurate idea of my body fat on the 20th, when I'm…

hah! all right, then! will do. :) yeah, now that I look at it again, it did tell me to eat 50 g even though my number is supposedly 45. still seems ridiculous to me.

Fantastic, ladies! Keep lifting. :)

Green smoothies FTW!! Load it up with leafy greens, pineapple, banana, & as much protein powder as you need. Easy peasy.

Another veggie bulker here! (Still struggling to gain, but that's not because I don't eat meat, I think it's the confines of when I can & can't eat on my work schedule).

Yes, that's kind of what worries me! I don't want less bodyfat, necessarily. The way I am now, my ribs stick out like a xylophone, & my chest is only a 32c (being a bit generous). I don't have hips & probably never will. I've only recently regained my period (having gained about 5 lbs since my lowest weight). I'd like to…

The only problem for me is that the stomach area is where my body likes to store fat, so I'm afraid that if I lose enough to show abs, I will be totally flat-chested & buttless. :( Not sure if I'm willing to make that compromise, frankly, but if there's a way around it, I'd sure be glad to hear it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to see if my university's gym has bodyfat calculating equipment... but at the moment, I'll keep with my regular routine, which has been upping protein, calories, & doing strength training. Hopefully it'll pay off, since I was skin & bones before, without the curves & toned look I wanted.…

Thank you for sharing! This will help me stay strong in my resolve to put on some pounds. I'm excited for muscles & also boobs, but I'm terrified of the belly. :(

22, feel free to add me! I'm a weight gainer, but could use support from peeps with different goals as well. :)

This is me right now, too. :( Makes me want to stop working out/gaining weight, actually. Super discouraging.
