  • My goals are: Breakfast 400 Lunch 500 Dinner 750 Evening Snack 250 Dessert 300 If I burn more than the 2200 that adds up to, usually dessert gets a bit bigger.
  • If you have set up your account to lose weight (0.5-2 lb per week), your deficit is already included in your goal. Eat to your goal.
  • You are healing. Eat the 1200 minimum, you'll still lose weight, and you're doing your body a favour. You need quality nutrition to get better, which just won't happen on 700 calories a day. Edit: Quite frankly, I'd suggest you try to maintain while healing from major surgery, but that's just my 2p.
  • Don't do anything drastic, just cut by a couple hundred calories and you'll creep back down. 3 pounds isn't something to be super concerned about, so just be conscious of it and eat a little bit less. Personally, I think a 3 lb range is fairly unrealistic, considering that I swing around in a 5 pound range and from what…
  • Hey there, I have ED-NOS and am about 12 weeks into weight/diet stabilisation through an outpatient psychiatric clinic program. They started me at 1750-2000 calories per day (eat at the lower end on rest days, higher end on days I exercise), which caused me to gain a few pounds at first, but after a couple of weeks I…
  • My maintenance is significantly higher than what myfitnesspal calculates. It has me at 1840 to maintain, and I typically consume anywhere from 2200-2400 and have stayed steady at 122-125 lb.
  • I used to do cheat days, and then I managed to develop bulimia. So no cheat days for me. Always between 1850-2300, dessert every day.
  • You need some consistency, man. Your diary is all over the place, and not terribly nutritious. Find some balance. If you're 2000 calories under your weekly goal, you're eating too little too often. If you're 2000 calories over your weekly goal, you're eating too much too often. It's hard to tell which it is based on…
  • 1. Dessert 2. Other ladies at my treatment centre 3. ANY stress 4. Missing meal time (makes me want to skip entirely or binge!) 5. My mother and her constant diet/weight/fat talk
  • Walking somewhere scenic to have a healthy, well-balanced picnic with the fam!
  • To me, heavy means I cannot complete more than 8 reps with that weight.
  • Wheetabix because breakfast.
  • I've said it before, I'll say it again. You need to be eating more. 1380 net is a ridiculous goal for you. It's ultimately not helping you any, because you try to meet that goal, and then end up way overeating because you're starving. Find a happy place in the middle.
  • I still log, and will forever. However, I'm much more willing to guesstimate than I was when losing weight. I'm okay with portioning out approximately half or putting things in a measuring cup instead of weighing, or go to restaurants 1-2x a week without calorie information and guess, which I didn't when I was losing. If I…
  • Maintenance is boring, quite frankly. Weight loss, while difficult, is exciting. Your body is improving, you get new clothes, you see that number on the scale - you feel awesome! Maintenance is just...the same. There's no immediate, tangible reward for your effort like seeing the number drop. Which is why I think setting…
  • I go way over my recommended sugar intake daily, in both natural and added sugars. I look and feel fine, seeing as I meet my nutritional needs regardless. Don't worry about it unless you have a medical reason to, or you find that you're going over on sugar because you're choosing them instead of meeting other dietary…
  • Eating them daily is part of my diet prescription for ED recovery. So, I eat them. In small amounts on rest days, larger amounts on workout days.
  • Yes, I carry most of my weight on my stomach. I didn't do anything special or different to lose the weight, but I still have a little more fat on my stomach than I would like, even at 18.5% body fat. Oh well! A little tummy bulge isn't the end of the world, you'll still look great in the end :)
  • Hi there - 22 years old and in recovery for ED-NOS myself. I maintain a BMI of 20.5 on about 1850-2250 calories a day.
  • Late to the party, but eating dessert every night is part of my recovery plan for bulimia so I'm in! Been on a chocolate fix, and quantities vary as a direct result of whether or not I exercised that day. 5/4: 35g Beyond Dark chocolate 5/5: 35g Beyond Dark chocolate 5/6: 100g milk chocolate pudding, 2 chocolate covered…
  • 3 pounds in 3 weeks is an excellent pace for someone your size. You're doing great. As far as being fit and toned - the exercise will help you there. 40/30/30 is a good ratio that works for a lot of people. You're doing just fine, keep on keeping on.
  • Well, have you lost weight? How long have you been eating at this calorie intake? Are you weighing/measuring your foods, limiting eating out, and logging absolutely everything?
  • 9 months, 80 lb, nearly flat belly unlocked while consuming 50%+ calories in carbohydrate and regularly over 75g sugar a day. Do what works for you, calorie deficits are more important than anything else.
  • Netting 1250 4x a week, netting 1725 thrice a week. So half the week, almost. But I also run a lot, so even on 1250 days I'm typically consuming 1500-1700 cal.
  • Joined Oct 2012, 6 pounds lost. Seems legit. -_-
  • Hi there, I have chronic depression that cannot be managed without medication. See a psychiatrist if you haven't already to talk about medication options! They help a lot. Second thing for me is keeping a very strict schedule to avoid too much down time. I keep myself busy so I don't fall behind on things and so that I am…
  • What did you eat that made you fat in the first place? Eat some of that stuff, just less of it than you did before.
  • I am 5'5", 125 lb, and a size 4/XS. Most people guess I am closer to 115 pounds. If you are more muscular, you will look "lighter" than you really are.
  • My go to meals are pasta with meat sauce and some veggie side, some protein with some grain side and some veggie side, salad with a variety of additions and dressings, sandwiches with a variety of additions and condiments, cereal/oatmeal with fruit, fruit salad, nuts, and ice cream/chocolate err day. So, pretty much just…
