I eat a horse load of desserts on cheat days. On Thanksgiving I had two slices of cookie cake, a slice of pumpkin pie, a slice of chocolate cream pie, and a slice of coconut cream pie. I REGRET NOTHING.

I did my 30 minutes of exercise on Thanksgiving. P90X Plyometrics in the morning (60 min) and 20 minutes of HIIT in the evening!

Lifting doesn't burn a ton of calories like cardio does. Eat at a surplus, lift heavy weight, and you'll gain weight. If you aren't gaining after a couple of weeks, increase your calories more, but keep lifting. If you don't lift, you'll just gain fat, not muscle.

I only gained 0.2, but I ate very little the day before. It pretty much balanced out.

Nice abs!

Amazing self-control up in here! I went all out. Four pieces of pie, no regrets.

I gained a lot of weight with Implanon, but it has come off easily. *edit to be clear, I still have it. I got my second one in last year.

Yayyyyy!

Sauna use will not help you lose weight. You will sweat, so you may lose a bit of water weight, but being in the hot and humid doesn't make you burn fat while you're just sitting there. That said, saunas are amazing after a hard workout, enjoy it!

Bulk. You don't have much muscle mass at all, so if you keep cutting, you're just going to be ridiculously skinny without much definition. You've gotten most of the fat off, so that's good. Just bulk/cut slow and steady. 6 weeks bulk, 6 weeks cut, repeat ad nauseum until you get the results you want. The reason I recommend…

The first time I weighed out a serving of cereal I was pretty disappointed.

Bread, chocolate, and pastries. I haven't binged in a long long time, but when I'm tempted, it's those foods that come to mind.

Lucky man! I've preserved my muscle mass pretty well, now at 22% BF, but unfortunately even at my goal of 18% I would never be able to eat that much to maintain. I suppose I should slow down too, but I think I'll change my goal after the holidays. I'll likely maintain while staying with my parents, lose a couple pounds at…

Alright, good to know. I slowed down to 1 pound per week when I hit the 25 pound to go mark, so I suppose 1/2 a pound is due soon.

Personally, I do intermittent fasting. I took a break from it for a while due to my workout schedule, but I'm back at it and it's made eating in a deficit so much easier again. When you restrict your feeding time from 12 hours down to 4-8 hours, it's just a lot easier to restrict total calorie intake. And for me, the…

You are quite small, so to maintain the 95 pounds, you would not be able to eat 1600+ calories a day to maintain unless you are exercising regularly. Assuming no exercise, the Mifflin-St. Jeor estimation says you can maintain at 1350. Right now you're "gaining" weight on 1200 because you've been at such a low calorie…

The only explanation for 30 pound weight gain is that you're eating too much. You're not logging food correctly, not logging at all, not measuring your portions, overestimating calorie burns, not putting your own recipes into the database, something. Something, somewhere is wrong. Opening your diary will help us figure it…

1. You're seeing a gain on the scale because you started exercising. Your muscles are hoarding water for repair and recovery, but it will drop off soon. 2. Starvation mode is not happening. Your body doesn't go into starvation mode until you literally are starving and have hardly any fat left. At that point, yes, your…

Yeahhh, I'm going to work out in the morning, but IDGAF if I go over my calories. Thanksgiving is literally meant for overeating. Be thankful we have a lot of food and prosperity by eating a ton of food. I'm eating 3 pieces of pie and a plate of stuffing and nothing will stop me.

As a recovering alcoholic - no. Just no.
-
Nope. Keep doing what you're doing. Lifting weights on a high-protein, low-calorie diet will help preserve muscle mass while your body consumes your excess fat for energy. You could probably eat more than you are, but I'm not one to go rah-rah-rah on someone's dietary decisions as long as they meet the minimum recommended…

Most people don't lose 5 pounds a week consistently. Usually at the beginning of weight loss, people drop a lot of water weight from cutting the junk in their diets and drop a dramatic amount, but it isn't true fat loss. Also, if you're like me, you might lose weight in stalls and whooshes. So I won't lose any weight for a…

I eat a treat every day. I let myself get more of my calories from treats during my hormonal times because otherwise I would just eat the same amount and go over on my calories anyway. So yesterday I had three treats, but still under my calorie goal.

Realized today that I've been neglecting this group! Whoops. Anyway, I hit my goal already. I wanted to lose 8 pounds before the holidays, and I've lost 9.6! 10/24: 148.6 10/31: 145.8 11/9: 146.4 11/24: 139.0

Keep losing weight. Incorporate some bodyweight work. Blogilates is a good suggestion.
-
Same advice I'd give someone who needs to lose 100 pounds. Log your food intake, weigh your portions, get active at least 3 times a week, and stick with it.

If you haven't lost weight in 2 years, you're eating at maintenance. No way around that. You need to eat fewer calories or expend more calories through exercise, preferably both. Make your diary public if you want more specific suggestions.

Bulk/cut in short cycles to minimize fat gain. You have to eat at a calorie surplus to see faster muscle gain results. You can recomp (eat at maintenance and lift weights to change your body composition), but that takes a VERY VERY long time. Just do short 6 week cycles of bulking and cutting until you get the physique you…

Is your mother a trained dietitian and/or eating disorders therapist who is fully and completely aware of exactly how much you are eating/exercising? If not, please disregard her opinion and seek help anyway. Anorexia is the most lethal mental illness there is. Don't wait until you have permanently damaged your body.
