I know this might sound silly but brushing your teeth more frequently throughtout the day actually curbs the sweet tooth. Also, try popping one jelly bean in your mouth and don't chew it or try sugar free candy but watch the calories they can fool you. Good luck but stop the sweet tea, it is loaded with sugar!

Mix a little spray bottle with your choice of vinegar and olive oil. It really does limit the amount that you would normally dress your salad with. Add seasonings after spraying and toss :) Olive Oil is good for your body!

Yes and it is so annoying and discouraging but ultimately it goes away if you maintain your diet. I wish I fully understood how the body works but I don't. So hang in there! Comfort in numbers...no pun intended LOL Maybe someone in a medical field can it explain it all for us :)

YOU GO GIRL! I too am blessed with an amzing family so it's about time I lived for them and myself! THINK THIN!

Talk to a nutritionist. My friend was very successful on Weight Watchers and another on Nutri-System. All in all I have been told, high protein, low carbs and cut out all white (pasta, rice, potatoes and bread). Good luck!

CONGRATS! You look great! You should be very proud of your accomplishment!

Do not skip the powers of the banana LOL Seriously, they are amazing! Read up on their level of nutrition and how they are aiding in the fight of disease and sleep apnea. I actually eat a banana before I go to bed because they call it "a sleeping pill in a peel" and it is true. So forget about the sugar since the good…

Actually a cabbage and broccoli cold salad is less calories & carbs...tasty too! 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon maple syrup 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup canola oil 1 (16 ounce) package broccoli coleslaw mix 1/2 cup dried…

Brush your teeth, simple but true!

I was the YO YO Queen and after two years of research I decided to have Gastric Lap Band surgery. Best decision of my life but a very personal choice. In the pre-op process they discovered that I suffer from Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea which answered all the health issues I had including my weight. This may have saved…

YOU GO GIRL! Nothing can stop a woman on a mission! Life is good so live it healthy! THINK THIN! Much success and we are all here for each other

TOTALLY normal and being a parent of a 23 and 26 year old it is what we want for you but keep in mind that we will still require an occasional visit or reminder that we are loved...LOL Good luck and make sure that you buy healthy, it costs a lot more but it will pay off! Also, remember Skinny Girl Margueritas may be a…

It will happen, give yourself 3 weeks. You are on the right track! You may see it in your clothes and face before you see it on the scale. Stay healthy and you will achieve your goal!

My husband and I are going to the Derm Doc tomorrow too. We constantly have something that needs removing. No worries. They will be removed. No more tanning!

Anything with Aspartame (EQUAL) is bad for your health. Skip it.

I am so sorry for your losses. I too have experienced the same when I lost my parents. The only thing I can say is that it will pass. If you need comfort, have what you need but try not to binge. It's hard because I do the same. First success is that you are aware of it. Take care.

My friend who was also pear-shaped and obese lost all her weight doing Weight Watchers for a full year. She looks fantastic! It can be done and it's a long road. Change is never ez, neither is commitment but to achieve a better body you have to do both. Good luck, I empathize. Love yourself, you are worth it!

Awesome article, thanks! Low carbs beats every diet. We have become a high carb-laden society. I have begun to believe that the key to obesity is all about carbs and overindulgence. If we all cut out excessive sugar (which comes in many different unnatural forms), the starchy whites; rice, pasta, bread and taters then we…

I too had a similar experience. Very very low potassium, hiatal hernia and sleep apnea. I hope you are on a CPAP machine. It saves lives! That will actually help you lose weight along with diet and exercise. I am devout and I truly believe that God wants you here and well. So continue this healing and consider it a mission…

Trust me I am not a nutritionist but here are my suggestions...count Carbs not Sugars and use sugar-free chocolate syrup in your coffee with Hood Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk. Also, add "Benefiber" in the morning to your yogurt (it has no taste). Choose an organic yogurt and add your own fruit. Good luck and I too am…

Hi Ann, I cannot stand exercising but I do love walking. Start slowly and buy a pedometer, set realistic goals and eventually you will want to walk. Try walking after dinner like so many cultures do :) My Nutritionist has made me cut out all "whites" like bread, rice, pasta and potatoes because is turns to sugar and…

Consider having a Sleep Study done at a Sleep Center with a Doctor on staff.I suffered for years as you do with irratic food consumption (but I am now 54 and overweight). I recently had one done and discovered by the grace of God that I suffer from severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea which guess what?...causes weight gain,…

It's a very personal choice. I am so happy I did it! I too was borderline until they found out that I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. Message me if you decide to have the procedure. I have ZERO regrets and am determined to reach my goal weight

AMEN and hello! Much success! I am fairly new as well. I just had Gastric Lap-Band surgery and am in recovery. Blessings to all!
