Hi Maddy! I have had a on again off again affair with my TG. Saw the doc today and so I'm hyped. Sure want so bad to get this established as a habit again. Always have been a morning person for exercise. I had no idea they have a streaming site now for workouts. I'll have to check it out. I have the old CD's provided back…

I'm back again. Anyone want to share their weight loss, along with using the Total Gym? I'll keep checking in. Crickets???? That's okay, meanwhile, I'm keeping the focus and still looking for friends.

Must admit, I didn't know what A1C was. Definitely something I should have known. I have a brother that is diabetic. Glad to hear you are jumping on this. I am in so much the learning stage. Presently culling out the sugars. Geez, I had no idea sugar was in everything.

Okay, so I'm the only recent poster. I'll continue to post anyway. So much to break out the cobwebs. What exercise's to do? Presently going through the CD's provided with TG. I remember I was rather bored with them. Not from my going through the exercises but just seemed to be less inspiring in presentation. But I need to…

Okay, I realize this group has some old posts . . . and doesn't look like any recent activity. But as I proceed in my weight loss second time around so should this group. Or at least I hope, someone reading it will join me in putting some life into it. I have lost and gained 70lbs. I'm back putting my health first and…

Jodios, thanks for the Yoga info. Barnes and Nobles had a clearance of exercise DVD's, along with Yoga mats etc. DVD's were picked through pretty good, but did pick up a Tai Chi DVD. Had a slump Sunday. Felt poorly, lower GI not happy. So eating was minimal but had less cramping today. Work was a bit aggravating. New boss…

I am so pleased to had found the 50+ ladies!! I would still consider myself a Newbie, but for those that have just posted the first time, keep posting. Eventually you will see the kindness and support that I have found. I have a large amount of weight to drop, but am not discouraged from the amount . . . just impatient,…

Thank you. I have to admit I have somewhat considered that age would be a problem, along with my hypothyroidism . . . but I've not placed a lot of weight (no pun intended) in either being the real problem. I know I have made poor choices with food and not being active. Thanks so much for the kind words. My mini goal…

Don't ever let someone else define you. You know who you are to your MIL. I had a similar situation with my in-laws (both passed on now). I feel blessed that I could be a part of both their lives. The older they got, the more care needed, the less their kids came around. For a while MIL lived with me and this was when my…

I cannot imagine not having my Jazz on my lap, all 92lbs. It is an afternoon ritual to have dinner and then sit on Mom. We bought a reclining loveseat hoping she would take to the other side . . . ha, that didn't happen. She will bark at me if I keep my laptop on my lap to long in the afternoon. If I don't move the laptop…

I so envy that you can grow Peonies. We live on the Gulf Coast, zone 9a and cannot grow Peonies. We just got back from a trip to visit family in Maryland and I was so taken with the colors and the smells of their Peonies. I immediately came home to research if it was possible to grow but appears we have to mild of a…

I saw my doc yesterday to get a game plan with weight loss. We've got lab work to do, but I've green light to continue with new diet plan. (portion/selection control plan - no diet name so to speak) She actually spent 45 minutes with me to discuss my issues. Last year she connected me with a nutritionist that was a nice…

Great news you have dusted off the treadmill (dreadmill). I have an elliptical I need to dust off and see I can move on it. Just too funny about Ritter. At least it was on dirty laundry. Have wondered how the behaviors would be with more then one dog in the house. We have our one and cannot image sharing the time with her,…

Robin- Thanks for sharing your two fur boys. Your Bodi looked like my Jazz in the small pic, but with expanding photo could tell he was a Lab. Sweet facial expression. Jazz and I walk daily on our property, with my attempting to play hide and seek from her. She is to keen on my attempts but seems to let me think I've…

Happy Birthday to you! I'm just getting around on the website but your photo caught my eye. So who is in the pic? Bodi? or Ritter? We have a Golden Retriever that is 5, she is very, very special to us. Didn't think I could love a pet so much. Her name is Jazz (Jasmine). Opened my eyes I should place a more personal photo…

We still have a land line also. And I love my Pandora. I tend to use my cell phone for much more then the actual phone. Browsing, Pandora, address book, calendar, appts, calculator, grocery list. List goes on, even keep an eye on the grandgirls with their instagram. Have to chuckle, I hardly use it as a phone. Congrats on…

Thanks for posting your pics. I'm new to the site and just starting off in lifestyle changes. Your pics are truly inspirational . . . congrats. I have to ask. At what time in this journey did you consider running? I often read how those that have lost weight and use running as one form of their exercise. But certainly you…

Just got back from a trip to see my Dad in MD. (we live on the Gulf Coast). I had fretted over food choices while traveling but must admit it was not as hard as I thought. In fact, it was nice to break out of my normal circle of friends and family routine at home to get ideas in exercising and diet choices. I am impressed…

Thought I'd introduce myself on this forum as I'm 55 and many of the other forums did not appear to get many posts. I've 100lbs to loose. No gimmicks, no special diets planned. Just want to make some life changes/habits and see how it goes. I lost 40lbs last year and gained 20 back. The 40 came off with diligently…
