  • Same! I lose, then something in life will get me out of the habit. Then I stay out of the habit until I'm sick of myself. I've had a LOT of life obstacles these last 6 years so I just stayed out of the habit. I'm hoping this is the last time, but sometimes certain things in life you just can't stop.
  • Same!!!!!!!!! I lose, then something happens and I get out of the habit and never get back in until I've gained it all back and get sick of myself! I am TRYING!!!!!!!
  • I feel your pain. I have been that way for a few months myself. I got back on track and then got back out of it again. I've had a HELL of a time with allergies and sinuses this year. We've had a HORRIBLE winter and then a few issues at home too. I think I'm a little depressed. I usually snap out of it and since it's…
  • Awesome! Proud for you!
  • I think he's making excuses. Seriously, why is he with you at all if your weight bothers him? That makes no sense that he will be with you but not marry you at your current weight. If you DO get married, is he going to divorce you if you gain weight? I think it's time to move on..............
  • Eat slower when you can. Eat about half of what you put on your plate, then wait 10-15 minutes and see how you feel. It takes a while for your brain to process how you feel when you're eating, so do that and see if it helps. And when you're in a hurry, it's REALLY hard to do that though because you stuff the food in so…
  • ^^^THIS! Lots of protein keeps me full for HOURS. I don't even have to snack!
  • Just wait until you are in your 30's and 40's and you can't lose like you used to. THEN come back to this post and read it!
  • This is very common for men. I don't know why, but it SUCKS that we have to work so hard at it and they can just cut out sodas or beer or something and drop 20 lbs quickly. We are made differently unfortunately. Keep trying. You'll get there!
  • As long as I stay in my calorie goal for the day, I have what I want.
  • VERY good letter!
  • HAHAHAHAHA! Love this!
  • Looks like you've done just fine to me. I think we all get "tired" of it sometimes. I took a little "hiatus" from around November until March. I tried to eat right most of the time but I didn't weigh or measure, I just looked at it. And of course with the holidays and football playoffs and superbowl, I misbehaved a few…
  • [/quote] "I plug in my weight in workout machines and I really get in a good hard workout everyday. And I really don't eat much which is why I don't understand how I'm not losing. 130 calories of cheerios is enough for me, it's a one cup serving (100cal) and my almond milk is unsweetened and only 30 calories per cup. I…
  • ^^^ This! IF I even bother to check my list and worry about it. I have a short, sweet friend list. Some of them have gone away for quite some time and then they reappear and I welcome them back. Things happen to people sometimes. You never know what they may be going through for them to "disappear" for a while. Could be…
  • LOVE IT! HAHAHAHA! Seriously though, I log everything I eat, even if it's 1/2 tsp of butter on my chicken. I don't worry about whether it's a vegetable, fruit, meat, I just log it all.
  • Do you like salad? If so, that's veggie right there. Also, try cooking veggies different ways and you may find a way that you like each one. Try steamed, roasted, boiled, etc.... and try different seasonings on them. You can cut some of them thin, brush a tiny bit of olive oil on them and a little salt and bake them in the…
  • I am a one-woman office. I do it ALL. Busy season is winter, and spring and summer are usually pretty boring.
  • I bake my chicken on Sundays, enough for the week. I take that (at least 6 ounces, most of the time 8) and add broccoli or green beans, and brown rice or carrots. When I eat my lunch, it will hold me for HOURS because I eat a large protein amount. All you have to do is pop it in the microwave at work and eat. So easy! And…
  • Yay for me. I am losing weight just fine and I have a few beers a week. I even have days where I eat what I want, and I'm still losing.
  • My daughter has MANY pounds she needs to lose and has made this same remark. It's better to be healthier. And if you DO lose them and aren't happy, you could always get a boob job. FYI, not all men like big boobs. :-)
  • For me personally, 1200 a day is just not enough to keep me from being hungry. I looked on scoobys workshop to see what their suggested calories was and it was like 1465, so I custom set my calories at 1400. I did the 1200 last year and I lost, but not really fast, even when I ate back my exercise calories. I seem to be…
  • I usually pre-log my breakfast, lunch and snack at least. Then I think about what I want for dinner and see if I have enough cals left for it. It seems to work better for me.
  • Well done! You can do this! I agree that setting small life changes one at a time is the key. Trying to completely change everything at one time can be overwhelming. You have my support! Feel free to add me if you like. YAY YOU!
  • I hope I stick to it. I take breaks every now and then. I am pretty good at eyeballing portion sizes now. It's just that when I stop counting, I have more days that I don't make the right choices. I did pretty good this last break though. I went from November until March 10th and only gained 5 pounds and that was through…
  • My official weigh-in is Friday mornings because my hubby and I only see each other on weekends so we occasionally go out to eat and have a few drinks. I didn't want that to show on Mondays. I will step on the scales a couple of times before that to see where I am, but I record the weight on Friday mornings (right after I…
  • Sorry you are having this experience. I find that a lot of the members here can be smart-*kitten* instead of finding a nice way to suggest things. I pretty much just stick to my friends on here to ask questions to instead of posting questions on the forums. I DO have a question for you. Have you had a complete blood panel…
  • I think you need to check with your doctor first, but water exercises would be easier on you I think. And swimming is GREAT for you. Then maybe biking instead of running because you won't have the jolt from the impact of running. Find things that are BETTER for your back and joints.........but DO check with the doctor to…
  • Sounds to me like you are not eating ENOUGH calories. You should at LEAST eat what is recommended for you. It told me 1200 a day when I was doing this a few months ago. I didn't lose very fast even though I would eat back my exercise calories too. So I upped my calories to 1400 a day and I seem to be losing faster. And…
