I used to feel really guilty about leaving my DH and kids to go out for a run (my "me time"). I have learned to get over that though. I figure that running makes me happier and healthier both mentally and physically which in turn makes me a better wife and mother. I do however do most of running in the morning. Dh gets…

I do most of my runs out the door as well. If not I bring a towel to sit on and dry off with.

@teacton11 - how old your kids that you can get a 10 miler in with them in the double stroller? I love this! My oldest girl (5 years old) likes to run with me sometimes. We'll go for .5-1 mile with walking breaks. She only has one speed though - sprinting! I keep telling her that she can go further if she slows down a bit. She claims that isn't as much fun.

I don't race much however when I do I like to set up A, B, C goals based on how I feel my training is going. My marathon in 4 weeks is a bit different as it is my 1st in over 12 years and I have absolutely no desire to "race" it or push myself in terms of pace. I should add too that I am learning a ton from you all! Everyone always has such great insight on all subjects. It is great to get perspective from so many different and knowledgeable runners.
