I once gained and lost six pounds (2.7kg) in a 24-hour period.

I don't eat before running in the morning. If I'm going any other time I will try to leave four hours after my last meal as I find running with anything in my stomach a bit of a trial. I use energy gels and sweets if I'm going on a long run as they don't have anything solid about them.

That's a 10km run and some weights :)
-
That's great! My first NSV was my forearms... :D

Buy a GPS watch. I HAD to go running then, otherwise it was a total waste of money!
-
Wow! Just...wow!

Getting out the scales one day and discovering the number started with 11 stone...

I managed about 4C before decided I'd had enough!

I find pizza actually helps me run.

34:11, which I'm not very happy with until I realise my first attempt was nearer 43 minutes!
-
Excellent!

Not sure where you are but this is a good one: http://www.ebuyer.com/521621-hisense-sero-7-pro-32gb-tablet-m470bse

Our local TV news would have a field day if this happened here.

I'm genuinely starting to worry about these - I keep having to check exactly where they are :D

You've Got Daily Mail

Did you put on seven pounds overnight? That's happened to me before after running and weights. It's water retention from your muscles repairing, I think. Someone with more knowledge might be able to explain it.

That is a serious bit of kit. If it didn't count calories burned I'd be shocked! (My Bryton Cardio 35t does and it cost about a third of that.)
-
Well done!

This is properly high-carb, high-everything, but there's a recipe that involves mixing cottage cheese into cooked egg noodles and a load of dried basil, topping it with cheddar cheese, and baking it....
-
Nice one!! :)

11 stone. At that point, I'd had enough!

I've taken it: it got rid of most of my acne, but it made me so depressed I nearly did something stupid. I hope they've warned you about the mental health side-effects because they are very, very damaging.

I don't even have words for this. I'm stunned. 'Well done' feels patronising!!

When I ran 3km, a colleague of mine told me to never, ever do less than that because now I knew I could do it. Something in that really got to me. I've now gone much further distances but have never gone less than 3km since - and often done far more than I think I will simply because 'now I know I can do it'.

I must admit, I like this show as well. Channel 4 seems to hit just the right balance between sensationalism and good advice with its 'diet' shows, which is more than can be said for most of its other programming :D I seem to remember one where a man was saying that he couldn't understand how he could possibly be putting…

I find that I gain loads of weight if I've worked my leg muscles hard. If you're doing a lot of walking and drinking a lot of water I suspect that will account for it. I've gained half a stone in a day before now, and it's come back off over a couple of rest days.

Yep, I too have "BOMB TECHNICIAN: If you see me running, try to catch up"
-
Well done! When you do do the whole thing without stopping, you will be thrilled to bits :D
