I do not know my body fat percentage.

That was along the lines of what I was thinking. I just made the switch to a 1000 cal deficit about a week and a half ago, maybe I got over-eager to see an immediate change. Also: You're a boss for doing math for me! More leafy greans I suppose, time to unthaw all the kale from this spring.

I"ve been doing resistance training for 11 months 1 week. 6 months doing Stronglifts 5x5. 5 on Wendler's 5/3/1. I use a food scale on all my meals at home and my best guess when I'm at work. I track everything, all the time, except water apperantly.

Oh man, i'm right there with you Capn, the way I lose weight, is i'll lose weight, then i'll stall out within a 3 lb range. Last month it was 350-353, couldnt drop for three weeks. Then I droped right to 345-348. But the weights keep getting heavier and my clothes keep fitting looser.

Under 300 is a hell of an acomplishment!

HITT: Feels great, until you want to vomit. Did 4 cycles of the Gibala regimen: 5 Minute Warm up 60 seconds at vV02 max (Or as close as I could get) 75 seconds at a resting pace. Do 8-12 times. Then Cool down. I made it through 4. Well, really 3.75. It was brutal. They (that nebulous internet they) recommend only doing it…

Yea. I'm gonna try the HIIT, and see what happens.

Hrmm. That's interesting, I took a look at it. I'll have to figure out where to get my BMR tested, I live in the woods so specialty medical stuff isn't necessarily easily available.

Funny story that. I used to be a correctional officer, then budget cuts happened. But whenever we interacted with local law enforcement they always mentoned that we were generally of above average stature :-p

So, if those are the GP forums, is this the SHU? :-p

Egads. I'd never want to be small. I've always been large framed and strong. Corn-fed as they say.

You know, the budget view of calories is what got it working for me. That stair-mill that I hate? That's caloric income that I get to invest in the form of delicous cold beer while still being within my claoric budget.

Touched a very personal nerve and I didn't take a break and look before I posted. Sorry.

Heh. At 6'5" clothes are either big OR tall, amiright? I have that problem as well. :drinker:

Now if only it hadn't been about 2" to short I might have worn it outside the house.

It all really depends on your current weight and activity level. I'm losing about 1/lb a week at 3,100 net calories. However I'm 6'5" and 350 lbs. Strength training and cardio 4 days a week with a very active job. I pretty much just eat untill I hit my net calorie limit while trying to avoid junk food. Sometimes I get…

6'5", 352.8 (down from 390 before MFP) It's so nice to be with a group of people who won't sugest starting fat loss / strength building with "some easy pull ups" I've always been huge, so I finally figuered i'd drop the fat, pick up the muscle and look like a beast. I did a 6 month cycle of Stronglifts 5x5 and and now…
