I go with the germ thing too... I'm not big on sharing with them. But, I plan "snack time" into my meal schedule too. I'm a SAHM so we have breakfast at 7a.m., snack at 10a.m., lunch at 11:30, snack at 3p.m., dinner at 5:30. I love bread... cinnamon rolls, french bread... all of it. But I've decreased my intake to 1 slice of 12-grain in the morning. Weekends I sneak in a cinnamon roll (homemade with whole wheat) or maybe a sandwich (2 slices of 12 grain). And of course I splurge on rare occasions too.

In the organic section of our local Fred Meyer you can grind your own (salted, I believe) peanuts - nothing else added and it's awesome!
