try water -- I do water aerobics, and even when the classes aren't there, I do it myself, I don't like jumping things, same problem, makes my leg numb, - so I do bicycles, etc, in the deep end with a flotation belt, and weights on my legs, excellent work-out, Only issue is you need to join a gym with a pool, Good luck
