So glad you found it helpful-- I had a very similar incident with my dad this past summer. He is doing great with the pacemaker-- hope your dad does, too! :)

Yes-- sometimes when I choose to eat if I am not hungry it triggers a binge. If I am not eating from hunger, why not just keep eating, right? My suggestion- trust your body-- if you are not hungry, don't eat. You will survive. :) Just make sure what you are eating is nutrient-dense. JMNSHO, but I think the whole…

TY so much for sharing your story-- WOW---you are the poster child for what commitment can get you. I really appreciate your support of myself and other members here-- it is awesome having you as a part of this community. You are an inspiration! :)

CELEBRATE!!! I absolutely get it!! Just SUPER!!!

Your rate of loss is excellent! You are getting in a lot of exercise, too- which is terrific! Ongoing weight loss/calorie needs can shift during the process. What I have tried to do is mix it up to keep my body guessing-- I have lower calorie days (850-1000) and higher days (I have gone as high as 1800 on occasion). I also…

OMG you look SPECTACULAR!! That suit is ADORABLE!!

Stalls are so annoying!! But here is how I look at it... the habits I am developing I intend to keep for life--- so I just keep doing the next right thing-- loss or no loss. The longer it takes for me to lose, the more time I have to really get those habits ingrained in my lifestyle. :) Hang in there!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and suggestions. I LOVE this group and being able to share all of the aspects of this journey-- the good and the challenging. :)

Calming breath usually means breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Anxiety breathing is in and out through the mouth. :) As far as thinking about what you "should" be doing or what is going to happen... this is part of what makes grounding helpful for anxiety- because the idea is you only focus on the…

Wow. Thanks much for the affirmation and for sharing your experience as well. It takes courage to be vulnerable. Good for you for allowing yourself to feel your feelings-- amazing what can come up when that happens. I am still working on identifying what it is I am feeling and learning to "sit with it". Challenges…

OK! Heading into surgery can be awesome and exciting (and a little anxiety-provoking, too). Be sure to take good care of you. :)

SUPER!!!! Great work!

I have gotten some of the "you are too thin" or "don't lose any more or you will be too thin" comments. I passed my all time dream goal about 20 pounds ago, so I honestly have no idea where my "actual" goal is-- I do still have about 10 pounds I could take off if I really wanted to-- but I do not think I am stick skinny.…

OMG. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!

Just my 2 cents--- since the fatigue started well after you had labs, it might be worth getting them done again. Increasing protein can't hurt, either. :)

Dang-- you are KILLING it!! WEight training is VERY good for you-- good for your bones, and good because muscle is metabolically active tissue (even at rest), so you burn more calories-- this makes maintenance easier on down the road. Keep up the great work!

YES!!! Great work-- and it IS hard when the scale does not move. Stalls happen... and when they do I just remind myself my body will thank me for the good food choices and exercise regardless of that stupid number! Keep up the good work!

WOW! You have a LOT going on right now-- no wonder you are feeling pressed. Mercy! Good for you for being proactive and seeking a job---and you got it-- which is wonderful, bu also a little scary because starting over in a new place comes with a whole new set of challenges. Re: the family-- people will ALWAYS judge.…

Orthostatic hypotension-- yup. Happens to me frequently. Did not know it was related to dehydration- will be sure to increase my fluid intake!

That had to feel AWESOME!! YAY!!

I am only just over a year out, so I do not consider myself and "old timer". My food log is my security blanket- I am too scared to not prep and plan and this point. I have a beautiful track record of weight loss (pre surgery), but a HORRID record of regain--- so I am clinging to my "blanket" for dear life right now. I…

Well, to hear from one of MY personal heroes that I am an inspiration is really very humbling--- thank you. Pat, you are the epitome of determination- and I am honored to be in your circle of influence. xoxoxo

"Killing it"? ummmm not sure about that...and yes, the hard part is definitely in the "why"s and "wherefore"s of what kept me fat in the first place. I feel like losing was "fun" with some work- and now the REAL work begins-- keeping it off and really examining how/when/why I use food/restriction/bingeing to cope with…

Yes they are... and for the record, "normal" is BORING!! LOL I don't want to be "normal" (except when it comes to BMI!!).
-
TY everyone for the acknowledgment and encouragement-- I am pretty darn excited!! I want to add, though that I am FAR from my "ideal" as far as eating patterns go--- I have a lot of work to do around food and body image. I have days where I don't eat all day hardly and then binge at night. I have other times when I eat…

BA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

Oh MY WORD!!! what a tremendous amount of progress!! SUPER!!

And I want to add--- for you and other folks who elect to have surgery, I say GOOD ON YA! And I wish you well-- I did not mean to not be supportive by saying it is not something I would choose. Everyone is different and we all know best for ourselves. :) <3

SUPER!! (and your children are ADORABLE!!). B) :)
