Thanks! I will look into it!

Hi there @ChinnytoSkinny! So glad you into'd yourself! Feel free to jump right in! :)

I could not agree more that the more you can lose pre-op, the better! Good for you for being pro-active-- also, it will help you develop good habits that you will definitely need post-op. Keep up the good work!
-
I will have to check that out-- thanks!

I am looking for protein. I do not like Seitan- the texture is funky to me. I have not tried Spirulina-- will have to look into that. I also need to look into different ways to cook quinoa-- thanks for the list!

Hello darling! It is good to see you and to be seen. Blessings!

Wow- 130 pounds gone! That is amazing! If you like the way low carbing feels for you (some people find they have lots more energy when they keep carbs low), I say go for it- otherwise, I would just keep doing what you are doing. It might be the last 30 just aren't coming off. 3 years at a stable weight is wonderful- so…

Excellent! Best wishes for a rapid recovery. :)

I am 3 years out. I don't eat meat anymore, but when I did I could easily get 6 oz and some veg without issue. IDK if I could do 8 oz and more than 1 c of veg, though-- still, it is not an outrageous amount of food if you compare it to how much you used to be able to eat pre-op, right?

I hear you... and at the same time I at LEAST want to stop the regain- I have been gaining slowly now for awhile. I would like for the night time eating to stop. Also, I want to work with a nutritionist to figure out how to eat vegetarian and still get adequate protein without too many nonsense carbs and without soy. But…

Thanks much!

Thank you, dear! :)

YES!! I am still "out there".... LOL. I have not been around as much-- very busy, but also working to have a "normal" life ruled less by the scale and food and logging and more well... spontaneous!! When I am here too much, I tend to get all wrapped up in numbers- and that is just not the life I want today. I am SO glad…

I am not counting cals right now, but when I was, I was around 1600-1800 and was losing a little and/or maintaining pretty well.

HOLY SMOKES!!! WOW! You look great!!

Love this. Need this. I keep fighting with the same 10 pounds. I would like to just make peace and move on! :)

I am not an ice cream fan-- but I can see how it is very easy to eat lots of it. Talk about a "slider" food-- it goes right to liquid as soon as it melts, so I bet you could eat a TON before you feel full! Here is my experience...the more "forbidden" a food is, the more I want it. If I allow myself to have it, BUT (and…

I have no idea what my carbs were at 6 mo out-- I just followed my nutritionist's guidelines which were to eat protein and veg-- so that is what I did. Hope your stall breaks. :)
-
Thanks for the tips. :)

It is helpful- I actually enjoy feeling hungry and choosing not to eat sometimes- it feels very powerful. But other times, it takes up a lot of mental energy for me to choose to not eat when I'm hungry. Hence my inquiry.

Very cool! Keep on truckin'!! :)

So glad it is working well for you! This past week, I have been going back to the "protein first, then veg" rule and I was astounded at how few cals I needed to be really, really full. Amazing how well things work when you get back to basics. :)

Thank you everyone!! I am feelin' the love and encouragment!! :)

You are most welcome. I have tried a few of the receipes on the eggface blog and some were good and some not so much. The cake from Proti-Diet is my go-to. It takes 2 minutes to mix and 1 min in the microwave-- def. my kind of "cooking". :)

I am not much of a "fluff"/ice cream kind of person. I love cake. Proti-Diet makes a single serving microwave fudge cake that I really like. I use coffee in it instead of water and also add a little SF syrup for more flavor. I order mine through Nashua Nutrition. I had one today. So YUM. Also, you can finds LOADS of…

Love u 2 honey!!

I can't go that route-- I am in recovery. ;)

:) Gotta love it when that happens! Congrats!
