Hi Deb & Is Ready...... welcome. I am not exactly new, but I have been back and forth with keeping up the logging. I set my mind up with some new lifestyle changes that I have done with my eating and fitness workouts. So far I have been logging for over 65 days since I got "serious". I have seen some changes and love to…

I personally use a heart rate monitor to tell me my calorie count loss. It seems the most accurate. You can however find calories burned calculator.... I have used: http://www.fitclick.com/calories_burned You can find different workouts, videos, weights, etc. on that website. Hope that helps.

I am signed up to do this as well. Any food suggestions would be great.

My husband signed us both up to do this. Looking forward to it. We have already been making some changes in our food for several weeks. Look forward to ideas on breakfasts, lunches and especially snacks. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I too am looking for friends that are really trying to motivate, help, encourage and give suggestions for losing weight, not just trying to have friends to have friends. I "friended" two other MFP that wanted friends, but just wanted to build a friends list. I am welcoming to anyone that is wanting to actually help one…

I am also on the 1200 calorie. Since my weight is not obese, it is taking some time to lose. I think the main thing with weight loss is that you have to do what Sleepytexan stated, research a lot. Weight loss should be a long term not a quick fix. There is a lot of great sources out there and find what works for you. For…

I have just recently really consistently gotten back into MFP. So far, I have logged on for 16 days total. I am also trying to lose about 20 pounds. Feel free to add me if you like. I am always looking for more motivation, encouragement with other women. Great job on your 66 pound loss!!! It would be great to hear how you…

I have the Polar FT4F heart rate monitor. Works great on accurately showing me how many calories I have burned. You set your setting with height/weight/age. Other than that you are always going to get some average/guess on how many calories you are burning.

I am also 41 and have been off/on with MFP. I am more motivated this time. Trying to read more on the message boards to keep motivated and encouraged. Great to ideas and suggestions. I'll send you a friend request =D I can use the encouragement too ;)

I just got my HRM to properly track my workout videos that I do. So happy I got it. Works great and is easy to use. I got the Polar FT4F with the chest strap. Mine was $80.00 at our local sports store. Best investment for me.

** Was looking at dessert recipe on MFP So i have seen a few recipes for cheesecake filled strawberries so i decided to try them out and they were such a good little treat! You need: -strawberries (they kind of have to be a decent-large size because you will be cutting the middles out) -half of an 8oz brick of neufchatel…

I haven't seen to budge either. So annoying. Feel free to add me if you like. I have recently just become more consistent than ever with my workouts and logging in my foods. Hopefully I will start to see results soon.

Thanks for sharing.....love low calorie desserts! The family will love this!

I am just starting with paleo and trying to work out more consistently. Changing the eating has been difficult, so we are doing baby steps with it. Adjusting dinner first, breakfast and soon lunches. My weight has been slow to lose, but hopefully I will start seeing the results.

I use this site to figure out approx. how much is burned based on the workout/movement. http://www.fitclick.com/calories_burned?srch=Crossfit

Sounds yummy.... For meals like those I tend to be sure my breakfast and lunch are full of veggies and low calorie items to leave room for a larger calorie meal.

I am 5'3" and about 146. I am looking at losing at least 16 more pounds. If I could get to 130 pounds I would be happy =)

I am with you on the fluffy forty. I never thought I would be the weight I am but here I am too =( I just started logging back into MFP to really watch what I eat and keep my motivation up for working out. Keep it going....they say 40's are the new 20's =) Something to look forward to!!!

I was actually just thinking of this as I was working out today. I just recently started MFP again, but with more motivation this time. Proud I actually did my workout today and eating healthier. It is just the beginning, but I am doing it! Proud of that!!!!
