Your daughter's right, you are an inspiration! Wonderful job.

Excellent job! You look wonderful.

Jo, Since a cup is 8 oz. You ate 1 cup 2.5 oz. ( I would round it up to 1 1/3 cups). I 'm at a loss when it asks for dry weight and I've already cooked it. My big problem is when it's in grams. I found a conversion chart for that.

I have the Fitbit One. I'd say it's just ok. It's great keeping track of how many steps you take and stairs you've climbed. That's about it. An expensive pedometer. I wouldn't buy it again. If you do aerobics it counts your steps only. So it doesn't take into account all your other movements when it's calculating calories…

Congratulations! Looking good! I wish I had seen that much improvement after 30lbs. Good luck on reaching your next goal.

Joanna, I know you're not a novice and you know I don't run, I'm sure you've researched this but, I found this: http://www.runnersworld.com/injury-treatment/primer-lower-leg-pain I don't know if this pertains to your problem. I hope you find the solution and are up and running soon.

There's no miracle pill or magic elixir that's going to make you thin (at least not in a healthy way). No portion control or exercise??? Liposuction

I have a Fitbit One. It doesn't motivate me. It's only benefit for me is to keep track of my mobility. When it tells me that I'm almost there, that I only have 900 steps to go to reach my goal, I don't get up and do those 900 steps. I just want to know where I'm at. It keeps me accountable. Would I buy it again? Nope. I…

50 down, about 70 more to go. Then my bucket list is: Horseback ride again! Zipline (I'm terrified of heights but I'm dying to do this...figuratively speaking) Go on a cruise somewhere warm, and be comfortable in a sleeveless top and shorts. Wear white pants Win the lotto! Ok, I want to do this anyway but, it would be…

I don't deal with this particular list because it is all wrong. There are items on there that I haven't eaten in months and things I eat almost everyday (steel cut oatmeal) that don't even show up.

When this happens to me I usually drink a glass of water and eat a protein bar. It's not an instantaneous fix but, it doesn't take long. I agree with others on here that you need to plan for more snacks so if you are hungry you do not have to wait for dinner. You are just beginning a new journey. This will happen to you…

You look beautiful! I love to look at before and after pix. It gives me hope. Gotta say my favorite pic (EVER) is the one with your old and new jeans. Amazing change. Congrats!

Excellent! No Xs is a goal of mine too. Happy for you.

I think when people see you everyday it takes longer for them to notice a change. I've lost 45 lbs. and when I look in the mirror I really don't notice a difference. I had to buy smaller pants (2 sizes smaller!) or else I would think my scale was off. I'm 5'9" so I figured it would take longer to notice. I'm just starting…

I'm in my 50's and have lost 37 lbs. in the last 17 weeks. I need to lose at least another 70. It will take a while but I am determined to get there. People of any age can do it. It just takes commitment.

MFP gave me 785 calories burned while my HRM told me 649. I believe my heart rate monitor.

I'm so happy for you! I hope you are proud of yourself and all the hard work you've put in. {{hugs}}

I love Quest bars. They are my go to snack. I get mine through Amazon. They're a bit pricey anywhere you get them but, when I'm really craving something sweet, I don't even think about that. The only problem with them is that my family keeps eating them and I can't find a good hiding place.

I feel that your co-worker is jealous that you are doing something about your weight. I bet the more you lose, the more negative they will get. Or at least will not acknowledge your success. I had a long time friend who told me not to be so happy because the 20 lbs I lost was probably just water. She was not happy with her…

I think my bones alone weigh as much as the BMI chart says I should weigh.

It worked fine for me. I bookmarked the site and think it will be very helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Why? Are you considering a sex change operation (not that there's anything wrong with that)?
-
I've only used it once, after a buffet. I had bites of several items and it would have been ridiculous to try to remember everything and figure out how many calories a bite would be. So, I estimated the calories and added some on to that number (I'd rather log too many than too little).

Well done (both the video and your weight loss)!

I tried the following recipe, for the first time, last night. I will definitely make it again except I will try cooking it for 5 hrs. since the oats were a bit mushy and I like them with a bit more bite. I will also try it without the butter. 1 cup uncooked steel-cut oats 2 apples - peeled, cored, cut into 1/2" pcs. (2 1/2…

You will get all kinds of responses from all kinds of people. People believe what they are telling you (whether they are right or wrong) and are trying to be helpful. Some will be insistent that their's is the only way to go. I let MFP decide how many calories I should eat daily. Just like I let my scale tell me how much I…

I just looked at a couple videos on YouTube. The brushes look similar to the one we use on our horse. I guess next time I go to the barn I'll have to " borrow" Kota's brush.

LOL. Sorry to have to tell you this but pix of food are calorie free. Or do they come to your home and force feed you too?

If you have a Good Will near you, check them out. I bought dumbbells there for a couple of bucks apiece. There is exercise equipment quite often. Just make sure you try anything before you buy. I have bought several different DVDs for $1.99 each (Pilates, Yoga, Jillian Michaels, Sansone, etc. Even one endorsed by the Amer.…
