did you miss a decimal point when setting your height or weight on fitbit? i burn about 1 cal per minute while sedentary, so 36 cals/min seems insane.

Totally agree with your diet tips, but not the exercise. If you start from nothing and start working out 30 mins a day, you are setting yourself up for failure.
