  • I workout either 5 or 6 days a week. Some weeks it goes down to 4. Most of the time I get a rest day because I overslept in the morning and by the time I get home from work, I am too tired. Basically that work thing gets in the way.
  • Oh there is also Wheatena, which is not as popular, but that is made from wheat, its higher fiber and has more texture. My mom used to make it for us when we were kids, I haven't had it in forever, but still like it a lot.
  • Personally I like both, but Cream of Wheat is my favorite. I make it with water, but add a little almond milk to make it just a bit creamier. And if your like me it always has some lumps for texture, LOL.
  • I used to love the stairmaster, it was my go to machine, till my knee got messed up. FYI, you are right it does help the legs and will help keep that butt lifted :)
  • Oh I have the same problem. Nuts are good snack, I will do that. Veggies of course, carrots, cucumber, peppers anything like that. Fruit is also a good choice, still a carb, but a better choice overall.
  • My daughter was vegan for a while, it was difficult with a family of meat eaters. But my favorite comment was in the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding Guy: I don't eat meat Woman: That OK, I cook Lamb
  • The only thing I watch is my back and shoulders. I have hurt myself, so I try not to do anything with back and shoulders 2 days in a row. That said regular soreness, I find cardio really helps and stretching. So maybe just add some extra stretches in today :)
  • As the weather is getting better, when it is nice out put the baby in the carriage and go for a 15 minute walk?
  • Sometimes you will stall with weight loss, check your measurements are they moving? also change up the workouts. Try something new, that can work. Believe it or not sometimes taking a few days off the working out can also jump start things.
  • I tried doing that, didn't have a problem getting enough protein, but I craved the meat. It didn't work so well. I have a decent balance now. Also I kept eating things like falafel which are fried.
  • I have the same problem, cravings and such before. I also get very tired during. One thing my Dr said was I need Iron, so I take a supplement. I also find that giving in a bit to cravings will work, but I have to be careful and choose small items. For me it Melted Mozzarella or Pizza. So what I did the other day, made…
  • Good job, and the employees will forgive you I'm sure. Great job stopping yourself. My challenge is that my daughter is home from college and there is junk food everywhere. Last night she made brownies too. I dint have any, I am done with the junk, but it's hard. The thing is my daughter has opposite problem, she needs to…
  • Actually the one consistent message on all diets is that tracking works. Not just because you look at calories but because you become mindful of what you are eating. All diets make you track and note how you feel about food and hunger
  • The reward is a great idea. Keep going and you can do it one day at a time. Also thank you because I binged last night and you reminded me that I can beat it and not do it again. I had a few triggers but I am not going to give in to it anymore! Neither will you because you will look awesome in those sunglasses
  • Try going to 1500 calories. Eat tons of veggies, but check your balance the right amount of protein does help. I understand the hunger this too.

  • Sometimes we pass judgement based on what people eat, but that doesn't mean we tell the world. I have read that story in a couple of different places. I don't agree with the drinking soda because I think its a waste of calories, but we can't eat healthy all the time. Gotta enjoy life. Life is a journey not a destination…
  • It isn't just the part of the weight loss. If you think about it in your life you have had friends come and go. There are people who step into your life at the right time and step out when life changes. Your core group are the ones you can count on forever, but some people in our lives are just temporary. What is most…
  • I weigh myself everyday and don't get discouraged just because I fluctuated. If you really want to test that weight can fluctuate and make yourself feel better about the little gains try weighing yourself in the morning then at night. I use the daily weigh in for me as a marker to check the downward trend and to keep me on…
  • It doesn't matter that the days during the week change. I have to change days often, the key is to create your plan week by week. You can plan total body when you have work days in between if you. As long as you do it and create a schedule you can do it.
  • Bikini Bottom has cool name so they want to stay there, besides a lot of other towns in the area have gangs and dive bars. As for Gotham, they think Batman will save them so they stay or they are criminals and just like steeling stuff
  • Ok you don't need weights to start lifting. Fill bottles of water with sand and you have light weights. You can also use canned food. Your son is also a great weight. I used to bench press my daughter, she loved it we played and I got a workout. Other things that you can do in the house: Push ups Squats Lunges walk in…
  • Eating a diet with a lot of fruits and veggies can help, but not always. I eat a lot of Spinach and Kale because they are high in Iron and other vitamins. Sweet Potatos are a great source for Potassium as are bananas. That being said, my iron levels border on low, so I take an iron supplement. The one I take is really good…
  • I don't really save calories, however, I do take a wholistic look at my diet. So Saturday night I may know I am going to eat out and have a drink, extra calories. I will be stricter during the week to allow for it. The biggest problem with saving calories though is that it can make you feel like you are allowed to Binge.…
  • I have huge thighs, even when I was thin as a teen, still had huge thighs. Shorts riding up is just a normal thing for me. I loved when I could wear the really short short (think daisy dukes) because I didn't have to worry about. I am now 49, daisy dukes are not an option. I just pull the shorts down now and again. I…
  • My uncle is 90 years old and rides his bike into town, like 2 miles everyday. He walks, he was in a Kayak race (won since he was the only competitor in his age group). The point being you don't need to slow down, keep moving and keep lifting. There are some things that you do need to watch as you age. Tendons tend to…
  • If weighing daily is making you angry, weigh in once a week. I actually do weigh myself everyday and ignore the up unless it is up for 3 days, then I check what I have been doing. For me weighing everyday is the opposite, it keeps me focused! I don't want to smash, just get more focused.
  • I could use the support, but my problem is that life gets in the way. Work can get crazy busy, I sometimes travel, etc. So could disappear for a week and then pop back up. So let me know if you are interested. BTW been doing this a long time, but I think there is always more to learn. I am 49, 5'2" and currently weigh in…
  • I also recommend stretching when you are sore, it will help minimize it. But yes it will improve, keep going.
  • Very impressive and actually doctors are starting prescribe physical exercise for depression. You did the the right thing by you and support is very important. Also no one should be ashamed that they struggled :) Great job!!!!
  • I ended up with a swollen meniscus because my hamstring got so tight. The Physical therapist gave me a lot of good exercises. You might want to see if you can find Physical therapy sights that recommend exercises for hamstrings. Some are not what you would think. Some of it is balance. Also be very careful and stretch…
