I think it's motivating to buy clothes in a size slightly smaller than you are now. I did this while losing weight, got them at the thrift store. I don't think it's a good idea to buy clothes in your goal size. I wouldn't have found it very motivating to look at a size 6 when I wore a size 22. The goal size jeans you buy…

I notice small bruises on my wrists, shins and hips. I think that I bump these areas while getting used to a smaller body.

My weight went up four pounds since going to "maintaining weight" and has now leveled off. I lost 90 pounds so was a bit terrified to see the scale creeping up. Just give your body time to settle into the new regimen. I know it's difficult but try to be patient and not worry so much.

I so agree with this. No food is off limits. Sometimes a big bowl of ice cream is just what I want to eat. Not going to do it every day but some days I am.

My mom died two days after Valentines Day. I want to eat everything in sight and then some to comfort myself. Not going to do it because I know I will only feel worse. Just get through it one day at a time. Food is not the answer.

I donate my too big clothes to Savers which in turn gives me a 20% off coupon. I buy a bunch of new to me stuff and start the process all over again. I am at my goal so don't think I will get much smaller.

Even small grocery stores will usually order what customers request. Frozen and canned vegetables can be just as good as fresh. In spring and summer the farmers market has a wonderful selection of fresh produce. Find an exercise you love (or at least tolerate) be it walking, running, zumba, yoga, lifting and stick to it.…

I walk 75 minutes ( 5 miles ) five or six days a week. It has worked for me. I have lost nearly 80 pounds with calorie deficit and walking. I love walking and walking loves me. No matter what anyone else says, find what works for you and stick with it.
