Uhm congrats on the loss but I'll pass on the work out advice. Just for those reading thinking you need to exercise that much, you don't, my exercise routine is wholly inconsistent due to medical reasons and in the time I've been on mfp and some time before I have lost weight quite succesfully without it. If it works for…

Always buy your swim costume a size too small (Competitive swimmers trick) the chlorine in the pool affects the fabric and makes it bigger anyways, add weightloss and you get even less wear out of your cozzy, so buy a size too small and they'll last longer ;) I'm with you though, I keep shrinking out of my clothes before…

38, 30, 42inches or in cm 97cm bust, 76cm waist and 107cm hips, pear shape all the way!

I just plugged my details into mfp, used their calorie goal and lost 63lbs so far, I don't think you need to go so complicated. I mean if you find mfp's goal doesn't work just reduce by 100/200kcal a week/month until you do start losing. Simple..... P.s. diagnosed hypo 6 years ago. started at weight of 237lbs.

Apologies must have read the post wrong i should really pay better attention. @butterflybites I'm so sorry to hear you struggle with anxiety/depression it's not a pleasant state to be in, I hope there is something the doctor can do for you to help mitigate that nasty side effect. Maybe alternative to the generics may help…

^this so much this and ^my mum was exactly the same although she was the one that got me on mfp. Last time though I gently convinced her to give mfp a go again and surprise surprise she is losing weight. Although now the complaint is about the rate of loss, she will get there (deep sigh and rolls eyes), I tell her any loss…

I'm confused, as I understood it TSH levels in thyroid cancer need to be suppressed right (please tell me if I'm wrong)? Doesn't that mean that you would be on a high dose of levo/synthroid? That would mean theoretically that it should be easier to lose weight. Does your doctor know how the thyroid works??? Unfortunately…
-
I would question it too if I were you, you are clearly having hypo symptoms and a high TSH, definitely phone your doctor and ask why your dose has not been increased. In an ideal world you would have T3 tested too but unfortunately this doesn't happen very often (not in the UK at least) you could ask for it but on those…

5ft7 starting weight 237lbs, current weight 175lbs, goal for now 160lbs which would get me just into a normal BMI. At the moment I'm a UK 12/14 (pear shape) and haven't been this weight since my teens. My goal weight may change when I get there but we'll see, if I'm happy I may just try and maintain there for a while then…

1. Is not your problem, it's theirs, if you've told them you're not bothered then though for them. 2. Try and pre-log so your friends that complain don't realise you are logging (you could also do it whilst they have nipped to the ladies room or once you're home). Opinions are like noses everyone has got one tell them it…

I don't see why not and I do weigh almost every day. Be aware though that weight fluctuates from day to day and if you do weigh everyday to just look at the overall trend, not panic if it goes up.

Uhmmmm no, Never fancied it myself, worst I did in my years of yoyo dieting prior to mfp was meal replacement which leaves you hungry enough and I can imagine a "juice cleanse" would just leave me hangry. Rather just eat my food and be patient. I'll go with the saying, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Try oven baking instead of deep frying (about 200 degrees C for 20-30min should do the trick) and go for tomato based sauces.

Yup, seems normal, my husband gets around 3000kcal a day, he hasn't got much to lose and he only set it to 0.5lbs loss a week but with his job he falls under the very active category. He steadily loses more than 0.5lbs on that amount.

Not every scale weighs the same I'm easier a few pounds heavier on the gp scales compared to mine at home. I don't think it will have had anything to do with what you ate give it a week weigh yourself on the new one after a week and see if you have a loss. You really don't need to eat the same thing every day to be able to…

Porridge oats 25g, sultanas 20g and 150ml skimmed milk. Just short of 300kcal 45g simply nutty muesli, 10g sultanas, 10g of golden linseed, 150g low fat greek style yogurt about 380kcal Toast with home made jam or butter 380kcal ish. Those are my during the week go to's, currently on the muesli. At the weekend I may do…

Take a logging break, attempt to continue eating the way you have been, i.e. keep all the good habits you have built. Monitor the scale if it's going the wrong way start logging again. I take logging breaks because of the same reasons and just go back to logging after a month or so.

That is usually only the case if they are under medicated, you shouldn't gain weight for no reason when on levo. The problem is a lot of gps just look at blood test results and say now you are in the 'normal range' you must be fine without taking symptoms into account and it doesn't work that way. I would say educate…

Levothyroxine doesn't cause weight gain in the majority of people (I don't know who told you its notorious for weight gain but that is wrong) it should actually help you lose the weight like any 'normal' human being, I think I'm testament to that as I'm on 150/175mcg of levothyroxine and lost over 60lbs. Good luck!

I wouldn't call 1lb up from the day before a drastic fluctuation. I have gained 6lbs overnight before. Daily fluctuations of weight are normal especially when exercise, TOM and just being human are involved. If you choose to weigh daily be prepared to see these fluctuations or use use a weight tracking app to look at the…

My husband doesn't need to lose weight and quite happily eats what he wants the way I go around having what you call junk in the house and not eat it is by seeing it as not mine. It's not my food so I can't eat it.
-
It's absolutely fine, there is no point to feel guilty about what you eat. I eat biscuits almost daily and have take away about once a week and still lose weight. If you can, try and fit something nice into your calorie goal. This diet/lifestyle change has to be sustainable over time after all.

I cook with it, the only thing I would say is don't fry mushrooms in it unless you fancy coconut flavoured mushrooms! I did it once, it was not nice, totally ruined my fried breakfast.
-
Nope didn't gain any weight, I quit about 1.5 years ago, I was already using mfp by then stuck to my calories and carried on losing weight.

I had a quick look on the Web about those 2 meds that you take as I'm not familiar with them. They both make you retain water desmopressin, specifically is an antidiuretic so any gains you have on these meds is water weight. The hormonal treatment you take to aid on top of your pill will probably also have an affect so…

I put my stats into mfp set it to 1kg weightloss a week initially and ate the calories it gave me. I haven't really changed my eating habits that much but I stopped adding sugar to anything and slowly but surely I changed my choices because I just don't think certain foods are worth it, tastes change and all that. I just…

If you don't want to give up your cup of milk and cup of juice and don't want to use as many calories you could go for skimmed milk (obviously not sure what fat percentage the milk is you drink so guesing semi skimmed) which would lower calories and with juice you could dilute it 25/75 or 50/50 with water.

Chucking the tastiest part of the egg for no apparent reason in my eyes is just blasphemy! ;) Always the whole egg for me yum Mmmm maybe I should make quiche tonight I want to eat eggs now.

I think it will all depend on how you take the comments, you don't have to follow what others do down to the letter, it is what works for them. You need to find what works for you (and is safe of course). I do a lot of background reading and don't really comment on a lot of questions, but over the time I've been on the…
