My husband is getting very 'handsy' ;) I fancied fish and chips today for dinner but instead of just going to get some from the chippy I checked whether I could fit it in today first. When I discovered I didn't have enough cals left for it had stir fry instead and planned fish and chips in for tomorrow that has never…

You can eat whatever you like, just plug your stats into mfp and eat to the calorie amount that mfp gives you. If you feel that your eating unhealthy start to slowly introduce fruit and vegetables, you get more bang for your buck in the calorie sense so to speak with fruit and veggies but there is no need to do a…

The process is very simple and this is why you read a lot of eat less move more on the forums. Is it easy no, I've lost track of how long it has taken me to lose the 29.5kg so far around 3.5-4 years? but sometimes life gets in the way. I have had 2 quite major abdominal surgeries in that time, a cancer scare and some…

My wedding dress is now too big! My hubby exclaimed 'wow your arms are really thin!' earlier this week. That really made my day.

Hot tea with a splash of skimmed milk usually does the trick.

Sorry yeah I suppose I wasn’t super clear, I meant to say I'm sure it doesn't contain lactose, I wasn't 100% on the gluten, pretty sure 100% pea protein wouldn't be, but he! don't quote me on that! Definitely double check wouldn't want to be responsible for a celiac flare up!
-
You could look for pea protein, it's usually advertised as vegan so I would assume lactose free and gluten free. I did in my darker dieting day use herbalife shakes, the free from variety (no soy for me) that contained pea protein, it tasted pretty good as long as I added some fruit or cocoa powder. (I do not recommend…

Attempted quite recently to make a steamed syrup sponge for the first time. It was an absolute disaster, it didn't look anything like it was supposed to it collapsed the minute i took it out of the pudding form and to be honest was waaaaaaay too sweet for my liking. It looked so bad I cried with laughter. I have a pic but…

Just cut down on the cakes and desserts, this was from a gp! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few months later....... Needless to say I don't see that gp anymore I should also point out I wasn't eating dessert ever and cake only on special occasions at the time.

Don't expect motivation to come from others, it has to come from within. You will get support and encouragement but nobody can give you motivation but you. Don't be in a rush if it takes years, it takes years, you didn't gain overnight you won't lose overnight. Don't feel guilty when you have a day where you go over/have a…

Not in my experience and I have a large cup every morning, works great for my ibs though.

I prefer the more old fashioned oats but I buy the quick cook ones 3 min in the microwave. I don't like the instant prepackaged stuff, way too sweet for my taste.

I don't know of any foods that can cause breakouts but I can tell you that usually a simple antiseptic cream such as savlon works pretty well in sorting out pimples. Another alternative treatment you could try is witch hazel, as in the essential oil, but if you have sensitive skin that may be a little too drying.

Yes 63lbs and counting for me, hypo for 6 years. It's not been fast but that is my own fault for being inconsistent at times but I can lose 1.5lbs to 2.2 lbs a week if I am consistent.
-
I like variety personally although I do tend to eat the same lunch several days in a row because I bulk cook at the weekend for my lunches. This week is tomato and red pepper soup I'll add a sandwich or bread roll and I'm good to go.

http://corporate.dominos.co.uk/nutritional-information There is a pdf you can download on that link for the UK nutritional info it also has a light cheese pdf it's surprising that, that isn't available in the US, but heho that's logic for you.

I suppose the first step has already been taken by acknowledging that you are wanting to snack out of boredom, that is great progress already. I am guilty of eating out of boredom too, but it took me a long time to realise that was the case. I started out just not having foods that I couldn't resist in the house, I'm a…

I'm sure Domino's website has the nutritional info for all their pizza's including their reduced fat cheese options, they do in the UK anyways so why don't you have a look online? I don't order their pizza's anymore the majority of them have my full daily allowance in a whole medium pizza and who can just eat a slice?

There are certain foods that can affect the thyroid such as almonds, broccoli and sprouts, there are more but i cant remember, thyroid uk has the full list on their website. I've never noticed a difference with eating them though although a lot of them are on my I don't like list lol! (cooking is supposed to reduce this…

Not quite as adventurous as most but something I haven't seen in the UK much is the pomelo/ugli it's a citrus fruit it's massive and tastes somewhere in between a grapefruit and an orange. You have to peel it and take the skin of the segments because it's really tough and it's huge but so tasty. Never tried dragon fruit, I…

Apparently the tap water in the UK is mostly safer to drink than even bottled water (although I can't find the study I read stating this, anymore ) so at home I drink tap water. At work we have water dispensers with a filter so I drink that. Honestly though I don't really think about it.

That's just a case of changing your mindset, everyone gets taught that weightloss involves a strict eating regime and that you are not allowed to have tasty food and enjoy the 'naughtier' foods available. But at the end of the day if you are happy with your eating choices throughout the day then what's so naughty about a…

Opinions are like noses, everybody has one, just smile and nod and carry on as you are. What you are doing is clearly working for you that is the only thing that matters
-
Looking at your profile it looks like you are losing about 1lb a week that is excellent progress! I mean you haven't gained weight overnight you're not going to lose it overnight. Any loss is better than none at all.

Tea, water, squash, Pepsi max/coke zero, skimmed milk

Give it time the chances are you may need your meds tweaked quite a bit before you feel 'normal' again and start losing weight it took 2 years for me to get to a dose where I felt right. Don't be tempted to drop below 1 200kcal but try and stick to it chances are you will in the very least minimise your weight gain until…

I drink tea or water if I'm a little hungry otherwise I'll actually eat if able (I. E. At work and out of food I've brought then I'll wait until I'm home). But have a play around with you calorie goal of if your hungry all the time don't forget 0.25lbs or 0.5lb loss is still a loss and better than nothing.
-
Good for you, sometimes it's better to let the scale gather a bit of dust, rather than let it frustrate you. I bet you in a months time you see a good loss again, as you saw last month.
