OMG this thread is just going around and around in circles I'M OUT

How can you stop at just 28 M&Ms that is some serious willpower! OP: For something sweet i usually have some of the below sugar free jelly for the very low cal, a handful of blueberries or strawberries, 25g of dark chocolate is around 100 kcal, sorbet is about 70 kcal a serving (depending on which one you buy of course).…

I wouldn't exactly say I'm ok with what the op said, I have already left an elaborate response on this earlier on so I won't repeat myself. But what works for me may not work for everyone, if you ask me what works for me I will tell you, you may not like the answer/ you may not agree with me and you know what that's fine…

Agreed @WinoGelato

But all those methods for weightloss involve a calorie deficit. I am not saying there aren't different ways to achieve a deficit and each to their own and are welcome. But she said that calories in vs calories out is bunk and eating at a deficit is unnatural mfp generally is for counting calories so I wondered why, if she…

If CICO is bunk and eating at a deficit is unnatural then why are you using a website that is designed for people to use said method to lose weight. Just curious....

I figured as much, Didn't guess too badly then ;) it makes for funny reading anyways

If someone had said that to me on Facebook I would 1) report it as it's abuse and 2) cut them of my friend list so fast they wouldn't know what hit them, that's no friend. As to coworkers just say thanks or shrug and move on, weightloss it's nobody's business but yours. Just ignore it. I do think there is a skewed view on…

I believe it's what the moderators of the forum use to blank out swear words

I think OP that you are taking the advice of just eat what you want as long as it fits in your calories a little out of context. The idea about it is to get people in the mindset of not demonising food. The chances are emotional eater, fussy eater whatever kind of eater you are that you come on to mfp with the same mindset…

I have some sort of hunger sensation every day, and what I mean by that is I'm rarely ravenous but usually ready for my next meal about half an hour to an hour before hand. If its just before bed time I have a drink of water or tea and ignore it simply because I have medication to take on an empty stomach before bed. There…

Thinking about it critically, I think I do have a wall. I'm trying to break through it at the moment, I have been stuck at around 78kg or so for a full year. The last time I was this weight was when I was 14 so it is hard to think about being a lower weight than that but would love to get to 73kg or below. Currently at…

At 2 lbs a week for 20weeks that could be doable but don't be dishartened if you don't manage the full 35lb. Just be realistic from the start and don't make it too hard for yourself, if struggling settle for 1lb a week and be happy with that.

I found my fitbit calories added works way better if I set my activity levels as sedentary and let fitbit do the rest. I don't know why but ever since it is working way better for me than when it was set to lightly active. Edited because of stupid phone autocorrect.

As to your questions it depends on the entry you used, if you use a raw entry for chicken weigh it raw if you use a grilled entry weigh it grilled. Rice would be better to weight dry as depending on how long you cook it for as to how much liquid it absorbs, so dry would be more accurate. Why are you being so restrictive,…

Nope doesn't come into it I enjoy high calorie foods guilt free. I had two triple belgian chocolate cookies at 357cal each yesterday, enjoyed them and went over my calorie goal yesterday, the scale shows a lb down this morning and I was expecting more like half a lb this week.

I didn't start measuring hips and waist until later on in my weightloss journey so I'm not 100% how many inches I have lost overall but what I can say is its been pretty much equal over time, started as a size 18 on top and 20 at the bottom, now I'm a 12 on top and 14 at the bottom. My shape is pretty much the same, its…

If it is a one off 5lb loss I wouldn't worry, it can happen. If this is consistent then eat more, if you are normally not that hungry then just add some calorie dense foods. Swap low fat for normal, a tablespoon of peanut butter adds up quick, 4 squares of chocolate is around 100 cals, ect But in general the advice is to…

I went over my goal today by 259 calories I acknowledge that I will probably lose less this week as it's not the first time this week (I've been hungry!) probably 0.5lb instead of a lb. Tomorrow I will try and stay within my calories again. I don't get upset about it, I don't tend to compensate by exercising or by eating…

Well I've just been proven wrong, reading on webmd weight can have an impact on crp so weightloss can help, but having a baby also affects it (I came across some research papers where crp was being measured during pregnancy, labour and postpartum but unfortunately I can't access the whole paper without paying). As you are…

C-reactive protein usually indicates that there is an infection (inflammation) somewhere in the body. I've had mine raised when I had a flare of acne on my back in the past, so there is no need for it to be serious, it can also be raised through coughs and colds, so i wouldnt automatically jump to conclusions just yet. I…

^^this is good advice and should get you going, diets fail if you make huge changes/overly restricted yourself, you don't need to eat in a special way and it's more likely to be sustainable if you eat what you like/ how you normally eat and make small changes over time to improve nutrition and macros, let mfp guide you…

As the average woman burns 2000 cal a day and the average man burns 2500 cal a day it really isn't hard to create a deficit. Don't forget this isn't 1700 cals of exercise you have to create, just being alive will burn an amount of calories(basal metabolic rate), to maintain body temp, cell repair/division, digestion,…

Have you tried a fodmap diet? Both my sister and I suffer from ibs d. Mine is stress and hormone induced but my sisters is triggered by certain foods. Doing a fodmap diet has really helped her with her ibs and has actually flagged certain veg that she just doesn't tolerate such as onions. May be worth trying to see which…

Just from experience, if you bring some frozen meat/buy some frozen meat, combined with your ice packs the cooler will stay cold for 2-3 days (depending on how hot it is outside of course) so you could have some fresh dairy for a few days at the time, other than that, tins of spam and tuna or any other kinds of tinned…

Oh yes, I have made this same mistake, I hit my goal weight for the year in Nov 2015 and decided to take a break from counting starting back in January, as a result I basically maintained all the way through 2016 trying to get back on the wagon but falling off repeatedly (at least I maintained so I now know I can do that…

Tried it, didn't work for me and far too overpriced, calorie counting on the other hand has helped me lose 30kg (67lbs)

I think at a bare minimum I would forgo the eating plan and start eating food that doesn't make me nauseous, lie about it to the trainer if you have to. If you want to carry on with the training program then by all means do so but nourish your body properly to cope with the exercise. I hope you can get your deposit back…
