  • Thanks for your reply. I get paranoid when I eat out and tend to over think things. I never know what an amount of grams would look like in person. I'm just going to budget 1000 and hope I'm way over!
  • I added you, I try to eat clean too.
  • Sounds like some type of viral infection to me. I'd go see a doctor since its been a week.
  • I travel between cities so PF works for me. I've been to locations in Boston, NYC, and Chicago and all of them have more than enough equipment to accommodate the after work crowd (the time I usually go). Not sure if you live in a city, but sites like Groupon, Lifebooker, and Living Social are great resources to find…
  • Any nutrient that is found in meat, can also be found in foods that promote a vegan lifestyle. Check out the book "My Beef with Meat", it debunks all myths about vegan eating.
  • I had a friend how was completely raw and she swore by grapefruit. She would go on these 3-day grapefruit cleanses to reduce cellulite. I don't know how safe that is, but maybe incorporating grapefruit into your diet. I think you can also use grapefruit oil on it too.
  • MFP sets the sugar low already. I try not to look at mine, considering one apple can put me over. With that being said, I try to eat fruits at the beginning of the day (so my body can use them for fuel for the day) or right before a workout.
  • I try to mostly eat clean, if time and budget permits, however breakfast is one meal I always eat clean. From my understanding of clean eating, I would not eat packaged oatmeal unless you made it yourself using oats out of the cylinder. I know they sound boring but you can actually get them to taste better than the packets…
  • In my opinion, it doesn't taste like spaghetti at all. It has a distinctive taste, but it's also refreshing and light. I personally hate any type of pasta, so zucchini pasta is a nice substitute. I'm also a huge fan of spaghetti squash because there is little effort involved getting it to be spaghetti. For zucchini, I like…
  • You might want to look at your cycle. Are you close to getting your period? The week before and the days of my period, my weigh usually stays the same. Also, when I'm ovulating I can gain as much as 5lbs. I try not to weigh myself around those 2 weeks. If not that, it might just be a plateau (I usually hit those every…
  • I don't know specifically what you need, but I can tell you what I did. When I started I needed to lose about the same amount as you, I'm halfway to my goal now. I started out just walking to and from class. I live about 2 miles away so that was about 4 miles total 4 days a week. As I got more used to it (about 2-3 weeks),…
  • I love actual coconut so I've tried every kind hoping I would find one I could stomach. Even tried straight coconut water from the actual coconut in Africa and almost threw up.
  • If I buy bread (not often) it's usually whole wheat pita. Trader Joe's has mini ones (decent for a hearty sandwich though) that are 100 calories each.
  • I'm a technically still a college student for 2 more weeks... DePaul University in Chicago, majored in Accounting. Feel free to add me!
  • No idea why, but... Birthday Song - 2 Chainz
  • I'm literally obsessed with the scale. I will weigh myself in the morning and then at least 2 times when I get home from work and after I workout. I need to stop but it does motivate me. If I see the number go up, even its just 0.2, it might be the immediate push I need to bring my butt to the gym. If I see it go down, its…
  • Chicken basil is my go to at Thai places. You can basically order any meat or veggie dish just skip the rice.
  • Well I use the carton of liquid egg whites. I buy the quart size and it usually lasts me about 4-5 breakfasts. Each 1/5 of the carton amounts to 4 or 5 egg whites. I seriously love my breakfast and am so happy I discovered this trick to cooking my eggs. It takes me about 5 minutes total prep especially using liquid whites.…
  • Precutting and freezing: I do this when I buy bulk produce. I do not cook them before I freeze them. I usually put them into small Tupperware containers so I can easily pop them in my omelet. I make my omelets like frittatas. I set my oven to 400 degrees as soon as I wake up, grease a glass pan, and bake them in the oven…
  • I drink about a gallon and a half a day (5-6 liters) throughout my day. I've been doing it for years and have never had an issue with it, except having to use the restroom every hour. I know you can OD on water but I believe that is if you drink too much at one time.

  • I live in Chicago and I love falling asleep to sirens and flashing lights, living in an apartment the size of most people's closets, and taking public transit everywhere. But its the feeling, the attitude, and the general atmosphere of living in a city that is really unbeatable.
  • When I started out I was eating frozen meals like what you eat for lunch. Everything was great but about a month in, I literally could not stay awake throughout the day. I switched to organic, plant-based and have so much more energy. Don't know if that's the reason you're so tired but its worth a try!
  • 23 here... feel free to add me!
  • Yeah, they make you sweat, and itch, and feel uncomfortable. Also the fabric feels like thick Styrofoam nylons. And forget about going out in public with them, the noise they make is obnoxious!
  • I'm an organic/clean eater. I eat a mainly plant-based diet with the addition of whey protein and minimal whole grains. When I started out on my weight loss journey, I was eating weight watchers 2 out of 3 meals a day and was able to drop about 10-15 pounds, however, I began to get extremely lethargic and tired. After…
  • I tried them back when I was trying to take the quick way out. They only reduce your water weight through sweating. They are also extremely itchy and uncomfortable. You're better off sitting in the sauna.
  • I'm new here too... feel free to add me :)
  • When I finally invested in a heart rate monitor with calorie counter.
  • People either love him or hate him, but I always have some Kanye on my playlist... songs like Power, Stronger, even New Workout Plan. And lots of country. I'm weird.
  • I do the egg thing most mornings but it can get boring. I just started making overnight oats with fruit. I put a 1/2 of whole grain oats, 1 tbsp of chia, and 3/4 cup of coconut milk in a mason jar before I go to bed, stick it in the fridge, and just add fruits/nuts in the morning.
