Even at my lightest, I had abnormally-large breasts. At my heaviest, they were/are over a US 42J. I have been too ashamed and embarrassed and angry to measure. I can't sit in all booths because my breasts will sit on the table. I can't cross my arms. I can't bend over and reach my feet because my breasts are in the way.…

I feel sick to my stomach if I try to eat within an hour or so of getting up. Sometimes longer. I've been like that my whole, except when I was pregnant and felt hungry to the point of nausea at all kinds of weird times. It's becoming a problem for me, because I'm now on meds I need to take first thing in the morning. I…

Melstampz's post reminded me: I use those small clear food service-type plastic containers with the lids (the people use for dressing . . . or jello shots). I keep pre-measured doses of high-calorie add-ins in them, like nuts and seeds, protein powder, etc. Also, this isn't smoothie-related, but it is…

I want that, too! But, if I did spend $130US to get an Alta, it would be a long, long time or never before I spent another $99US for the bracelet. Maybe as a goal present. But then I'd probably want to use the money toward clothes! Incidentally, Fitbit calls it a bangle, which implies that it slips over the hand, but it…

The Alta is so nice-looking. I've had a Flex for a while and am thinking about upgrading. I'm not sure, yet. What color did you order? The most common complaints I've seen are about either the tracker not syncing or the battery not charging/running too quickly. I haven't had these issues. Charge HR users seem to have…

Etsy is my shopping soul-mate. :) I've gotten Flex accessories there, but I couldn't guess when or if there would be Alta accessories. Especially something like the stainless steel bangle option. But, I think it would be possible to get Ray accessories very soon. Heck, it looks like it would be easy to make a bunch of your…

OMG. Someone mentioned French fries! At some point in the late 1980s, my dad's favorite snack after my brother and I went to bed was a whole bag of frozen fries cooked in a Fry Daddy. If one of us followed the amazing smell, he let us have a few, but got upset if we took what he thought was too many. When mom finally…

My mom and aunt started drinking coffee around age 7 or 8 (late 1950s). Mom remembers how their grandmother wouldn't let them have any when they were with her and they would be so upset! Lol!

I'm genuinely curious: How would you know that first time you witnessed it wasn't an anomaly? If someone came over and told me what to do with my "*kitten*", especially if I had just made a mistake out of line with my typical behavior, I would likely feel fairly defensive. You need to know there is a history to know there…

I was about to ask about the same thing, before MFP dumped me out of my comment. I'm not an expert by any means, but if CICO is the basis of weight management, OP would need to net enough calories for health and meeting whatever weight goals. If I burned 1200 calories, I'd be netting 400 calories!

It's hit-or-miss for me, too. Mostly miss.

I loooooooooooove my NutriBullet! I started by pinning a bunch of ideas on Pinterest. I just plop the NB blending cup right on my food scale so I can measure everything. When I hit on something extra-delicious, I write out all the ingredients and weights and stick it in the fridge so I can make it again easily and quickly.…

You got lots of great advice. I'll just add one more thing that I do: I keep a whiteboard on the fridge. As I or someone else thinks of something, it goes on the board. I snap a picture of the board when I am heading out the door.

I am madly in love with my slow cooker and my rice cooker. I may need an IP one day, though. :) The other day I made crockpot honey-garlic-balsamic chicken tenders, served over plain rice. Later in the week, I sauted pepper and onion strips, cut up the leftover tenders and dumped the pieces and sauce in with the peppers…

Breakfast was a couple of bowls of cereal (not high-fiber or high-protein - Chex or Cheerios would have been the "healthiest" we had). Sometimes with toast or an English muffin. Lots of butter. A glass of milk or orange juice. I can barely remember lunches. I never bought lunch at school. I would have a sandwich every day…

For people who have used customer support: Have you had any luck with replacements or support with out-of-warranty devices? I have had two Flexes go bad after the warranties ran out. I have questions submitted to customer service, but responses, yet. I hear they have awesome support, but suspect that is only for covered…

I do love hummus, especially spinach-artichoke, but I'm mostly popping in to say that, as I scrolled past on my little screen, at first I thought the title was "Who loves humans". Lol

I can't believe I read this whole thing.

Vanilla Diet Coke and ONLY Vanilla Diet Coke triggered my migraines. Diet Pepsi Vanilla was fine and plain Diet Coke is fine. Go figure. Side note: We know exactly how aspartame breaks down in the body. It's no more poison than anything else we consume. The preservatives and color additives raise some questions, though.

I love all green veggies, especially the leafy greens, including kale. But, I've always said that if I were a vegetable, I would be spinach. Now, fruit is another story. It all tastes too sweet to me so I use them in green smoothies with lots of greens so I can stand them. Except blueberries. Blueberries are…

I got mine a few years ago (a Flex) and I remember the emphasis at the time was on that Fitbit was an activity tracker, not a pedometer. So, sometimes you got more "steps" to account for other activity it picked up. And you could always override the default data to track specific activities. So, that's how I have always…

Stupidest exercise thing I ever did? This: https://youtu.be/UqZ7grNqlk8 It was my mom's video. Early 90s? Late 80s? Gawd.

Rewards and little goals work for me. For daily goals like competing my workout, I enter it into my Google calendar. I use a separate "Rattie's Exercise" calendar so I can look at it without the clutter of family entries. I try to leave no square blank, whether I am recording a workout or a scheduled rest day. Just wanting…

Greek yogurt! I use vanilla. Plain is just too tangy for me. Edit: Oops! Went back and saw you can't do diary. Does soy yogurt have good protein? Yes, Chia and hemp and almond milk. Also pepitas and almonds. I use small, weighed portions to stay on track with calories, but even just a little protein keeps me going until a…

You have good answers here. I'd also add that you got poor advice about not strengthening/developing your muscles until you lose weight. No, you can't spot reduce, but you can show off your awesome strong muscles as the weight comes off instead of losing weight and feeling squishy, then choosing to reshape your body.

Shakeology is essentially a scam. Big money spent on woo and poor ingredients. If you like drinking your lunch, you could prepare your own green smoothie at home and bring in a travel cup. And I'm talking about real, nutritious food, weighed and recorded in MFP and blended, not SlimFast or protein shakes or whatever. I…

Our Hannaford here in NYS (Food Lion farther south) has store-brand flavored unsweetened seltzers in cans. It's soooooo cheap. They only have lemon-lime, Mandarin orange, and raspberry, but they are good. I do get "fancy" Polar flavors sometimes, but for the price, I mostly drink the cans. Raspberry is my favorite! We…

I do that, too, but sometime I can't get out of them! Everything shifts during exercise and I don't regularly have the flexibility, dexterity, or wrist strength to do two sets of 4 hooks. Today I was sweating and winded just getting undressed to shower after working out! I *really* like exercises I can do in a regular bra.…

I also agree that Leslie Sansone's videos are a good tool to have in your arsenal. Although for me it's another "mute the trainer" series.
