  • If you don't eat exercise calories it seems to me that's your only choice. That or going over. Neither is a big deal one time but best not to make it a daily habit.
  • My BF knows and while he doesn't really care much about the site he is supportive of me trying to be fit and healthy. He did have a moment when he glimpsed my before and during bikini picture and said, hey, what's that?? ha
  • Time to get focused! Last week I was at my lowest weight and today I weighted in 5.6 above that. Its water weight, so I am going to wait until Wednesday to weigh in/take BF I think so its a little more normalized and I can go from there. My guess is that I'm about 141 and up on BF due to less work outs over the past month.…
  • Haha! That's very similar to what I do (when I'm being good) get to work at 7 so I can leave by 4, go straight to the gym, then home by 5 or 6. It helps keep me on track. Not good today though :( I was going to go into work at 8 since I can't work out this evening and run this morning. Didn't happen. Sleep happened. Next…
  • Thanks all!!! It didn't LOVE it. I liked it. But I'd much rather be smaller and not have the skirt than visa versa :)

  • I know the feeling. I will be out of town again this weekend and of the last 5 weekends it is the 4th that I am traveling! I have not been avoiding any specific food really but just really focusing on listening to my body. If I had a choice in food then I would always go with a healthy carb, lean protein, and some veggies.…
  • Where are we with this? Sorry, I've lost track! I don't know about anyone else but I will be ready to get into focus next week. I think I want to try carb cycling.
  • Monday - 0 Tuesday - one 5 oz. glass of white wine (logged!) Wednesday - 0 Thursday I will be at a HP party so I think I need to decide between grazing and drinking! On Friday the BF and I go up to Minneapolis for the weekend to visit his parents. They're not big drinkers but maybe a glass or two of wine with dinner! But…
  • Sorry I've been MIA lushes...still a lush and checking in!
  • I agree with what everyone said but also...Don't be afraid to go over sometimes for special occasions. Life won't allow you to always stay in your calories range. Try to learn to be comfortable going over and getting right back to it the next day. You'll be fine if you have 6 bourbon diets and french fries. You might feel…
  • That's my bday too! Pearl Harbor babies :)
  • I find the bodyrock.tv cardio to be super challenging but also doable. I went into itunes and made duplicates of several songs then changed their start/stop time so that they were 10 and 20 seconds respectively. I did this for 8 minutes worth of music to keep my timing and it helps a lot. It's an intense 20 minutes but its…
  • I think that's the right attitude. Things like cholesterol levels, body fat percentage, etc. can also be great indicators of general health and risk levels :)

  • Yes, statistical methods are meant to do that and actually crucial for the general functioning of economic and information systems. Also, the range for healthy weights is actually quite large. I am at a healthy BMI and do not look "anorexic." Blanket dismissing the BMI as a tool in that way is no smarter than allowing it…

  • The BMI is a tool to indicate general health parameters for VERY large groups of people. If you took the entire population of the United States I believe that the BMI calculator would be relatively accurate in estimating who does and who doesn't have weight related health issues. That said, for individuals, it is often not…

  • oops...here we are. In other news, I'm still a lush. No changes to report.
  • This sounds harsh but it rings of immaturity if he won't eat ANYTHING healthy. There are several things going on here. First, he needs to be supportive of your life choices and visa versa. That means that while you shouldn't refuse to ever eat white pasta the same should go for him. Also, his choices shouldn't get in the…
  • How do you feel? I think that's the most important question. I would first work to get more calories into your 8 hour window but don't eat just to eat.
  • Congrats! That's amazing! That's a lot of progress...have the scale dropped or just BF? That's almost exactly where I am and want to go! You may have convinced me. Would it be too much trouble to either post or private message me more details. What counts as high/med/low days?
  • Here's an article that helped me a lot and I try to incorporate it...It answers some of the exact questions you're asking. It's long but read it, seriously. http://figureathlete.t-nation.com/free_online_article/training/the_final_nail_in_the_cardio_coffin
  • I am simply EXHAUSTED this week and lacking motivation. After traveling the last two weekends I am just out of energy and can't wait for the long weekend to rest. I am going to try to get my work outs in and make my cals but I am also going to listen to my body. I am considering lowering my cals next week for the week…
  • Haha, same here! But at the same time, two weeks doesn't hurt...maybe you'll get what you want (or you will feel you're working so hard that you start to see it :). I didn't start working again yesterday due to exhaustion (traveling from 12-9 pm on Sunday, hungover, only to go back to work yesterday) but I am going to do…
  • I've been wanting thigh highs for ages! I am planning on getting some for next winter. I totally think we should embrace looking hot. Obviously, some things are pretty much just inappropriate but there are so many things that are sexy and playful and when you like what you're wearing you can pull them off. I tend towards…
  • Woo, round 2! Go us... Jenomaha - thanks! I rented it actually! Much better deal :) Asjerven - I unfortunately I will be in and out of Denver this time around but since my cousin is getting married in Steamboat lives in Denver I hope to make it back soon and would love to meet an MFP friend in real life! Also...don't worry…
  • Lushy weekend last weekend... Friday - a little less than a bottle of skinny girl, some tequilla and fresca, then vodka waters. Saturday - wine, wine, wine...but did avoid the extreme drunkeness of hours of cocktails and the cals and bloat of beer. Monday - 0 Tuesday - 0 Wednesday - Saturday - leave for a wedding, all bets…
  • My Verdict on the the challenge for me...the bad: because of external circumstances doing everything in my challenge was not my main priority so I didn't always do it, but I also didn't really mind that. the good: it did make more conscious of things like my nutrition and I did do a good job overall of keeping my carbs…
  • I very similar salads ALL the time...I loooove them. Asjerven...add a good amount of grilled chicken for protein. Other variations on it: Spinach Blueberries, or dried cranberries Walnuts Feta or parmesan Raspberry vinaigrette Also on starting up again...I am weighing in tomorrow and need to think about goals but I am in…
  • Hi, I'm 5'5.5" and have gone from about 155 to 142 and above 26% to about 22% body fat. You can see my before/current in my profile pic. I am shooting for 19% BF and around 135 lbs.
  • Try fresh squeezed lemon. Does wonders for the taste and is more natural
  • Sounds like you found a keeper! Its awesome he volunteered! Aud - that's my go to...I figure I'm hydrating while I'm dehydrating and its more bang for my buck (or calories) :)
