SW - 194.4 5/3 - 193.2 Down 1.2 lbs. I'll take it :) The next challenge will be a bit more difficult. We've got plans to go out on Thursday for Cinco de Mayo :) But I just won't go too crazy with the chips and salsa. Other than that, we should be able to cook at home every night. Onward!

I've run all 19 of my marathons using Higdon's plans, sometimes modified a bit :) I take one gel every 5 miles up until about 15 or so, then I switch to Shot Blocks (I have gagging issues with the texture at that point, lol.) Good luck, and have fun!

Got in my long run today, 16.5 miles (3.5 hours) and I think I got 8 glasses of water today, not counting what I drank on my run (24 oz bottle of water and 24 oz bottle of Gatorade) We'll see what the scale says Tuesday. Got a 90-min run in and 30 mins of weight-training DVD today, but had a water fail :( Only managed 7 glasses today. I'll be sure to get it in tomorrow, though!

Got in 58 mins of running and a 30 min strength training DVD. Only 6 glasses of water so far, but I'll be up for another 2 hours or so, so I'll work on that now :)

Well, I was thinking that I'd do the extra 2 days of cardio to burn more calories. When I first started running, I did set run/walk intervals, and I still do on longer runs to this day. I'll run 10 mins, walk 1 min, then start running again. It helps me go farther without feeling like I'm going to die ;) Good luck, and have fun!

I frequently do two days in a row. I say go for it, but listen to your body. Maybe not go as far or as fast as you did the first day. Happy running! :)

I use my Garmin to track distance and pace. I opted for the one without the HRM, but now I wish I had gotten it so I would know exactly how many calories I'm burning. But it tracks the distance and pace fairly accurately, so I'm happy with that :)

LOL, I can relate! My fiance is a stick, too! Even when I'm at my goal weight, I'll probably still outweigh him by about 10 lbs. I'm still wondering how I managed to gain 10 lbs of "happy weight" when we moved in together while he only managed to gain 4 ;) Welcome, and enjoy the journey!
