  • "A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes". ~ Mahatma Gandhi Wow your quote there sums it all up really! Thank you all for replying, I need to start rearranging my thoughts. Good luck to you all and thanks :))))
  • I make that 137lb Just x your stones by 14 and add the remaining pounds :) 9 x 14 = 126 +11 = 137 Good luck :)
  • Hi, I pretty much agree with all the above - worth it if you use it! I use our local authority gyms and pay £30 a month and that includes all classes. I also have a bike and elliptical at home, but I'm way more motivated to work out in company. I also find the instructor's are worth their weight in gold, I may be lucky…
  • Hi you can have my info :) Age: 49 Sex: F Weight: 178 Height: 5'7 Body fat: 32 (scales) Daily Calories: 1540 Aiming for 20-22% BF Have fun! Izzy
  • If it's any consolation I had a pizza last Thursday night, and I weigh in on Friday mornings. I lost 4lb ! I tend to eat very low fat diet and as I'm getting used to listeneing to my body there are times that I really crave something fatty to eat, this is very occasional, maybe once a month. So long as you get right back…
  • I work a rotating shift pattern - 2 earlies starting at 7am, 2 lates starting at 3pm and 2 nights starting at 11pm. This is followed by 3 days off and then rinse and repeat. I don't eat much on nights, usually just a yoghurt with blueberries at around 2am, I feel really ill if I try and eat anything more than this. I just…

  • Having also moved over from weightwatchers, I am now firmly of the opinion that ww is not all that healthy in the long term. I think you only need to see how many people are coming back for the 4th or 5th time having put all the weight back on. It doesn't teach you anything really, not about eating more closer to goal…
  • Yes I'm sorry, I maybe sounded a little defensive when I read that back. I didn't mean it to sound like that xx Please just enjoy doing whatever you decide to do, anything is better than doing nothing. Good luck and enjoy it all xx
  • You make 48 sound like it's close to a death sentence! I'm 49 next month, I don't weigh a whole lot less than you do, I have a bike, I run, I go to Zumba, the gym, you name it - I'll do it to make sure I have a long and happy retirement. Get your bikes and go have a whole lot of fun riding them :)))
  • Hi Beccy :) I also just bought this from Amazon! I can't start for 3 weeks due to being away from home but I'll send you a friend request and I'll see how you are getting on when I get home, I'm really looking forward to getting started! Good luck Izzy xx

  • 40/40/20 here too xx
  • Hi, I started out on WW, but not anymore, not once I had tried MFP. It's not even the fact it's free. I find that WW boards are full of people whining and MFP is much more full of educated (self taught or professional) who will teach you how to lose weight and keep it off. Read up on some of the stickied…
  • Hello folks, I hadn't found this group before now, but I just did W3D1 yesterday, and unbelievebly I really enjoyed it, long may that continue xx Happy running to you all :) Izzy

  • Surely diet is simply what you eat - the diet of a jungle dweller may be berries and bugs. I don't look at my weight loss journey as "a diet" as whatever I put in my mouth is merely part of my daily diet. I try to look at things a little more as fuelling my body as a means to an end, all being well ultimately to live a…
  • Bio-Oil is fantastic. I used it on surgery scars and there was a noticeable difference. It was recommended by my PT.
  • Thoughts and prayers from the UK too. It's awful to wake up and see news like that on the morning news. As a member of the emergency services in the UK I also send strength and courage for those down under who will be trying to rescue those involved. My thoughts are with you all xx
  • Thank you! I'll keep revisiting that whenever I start with my negative thoughts.
  • I started Zumba 4 weeks ago and have lost 4 inches off my waist in that time - I just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
