  • I don't feel guilty! I have come to realise that thin people over eat some days and then pull it back by not eating so much over a few days more. Until recently I used to feel guilty, which led me to say "**** it", and go back to eating too much every day. Now I look at an average calorie intake over a week and it gives me…
  • I do IF - works out about 18:6 usually, I never really liked eating breakfast so it works for me in that regard. I also do random 24 hour fasts, maybe 2 in 3 weeks, but just whenever I feel like it. I've done one 48 hour fast just to see what it was like - I found it really beneficial to decide when I actually felt hunger.…

  • It's a great natural flea protection for dogs! Not sure thats a great help for us hooomans
  • It is personal choice, I personally follow an intermittent fast schedule daily. I started at 16:8 which has naturally become 18:6 (clearly what my body likes). I finish my eating window at 7pm so I go to bed feeling comfortably like I haven't just eaten. I'm not advocating that this works for everyone, but it suits me.
  • In our school we use "Mathletics", it is a British website but is used worldwide. The kids love it because they can either challenge themselves or they can play against other children around the world. It is completely safe, they just see a flag indicating which country the other children are from and I believe the name of…
  • I was terrified too, but I waltzed in, made eye contact and smiled and reassuringly got several smiles and hello's back....I am old enough to nearly everyone's mother in there, but I have to say those guys have made me feel really welcome. They will spare moments to answer questions and help me out if I look completely at…
  • I'm over 50, regained a lot of weight, and have about 80lbs to lose now, so I guess I fit those criteria quite well. I'm also back for good, having learned the hard way that I need to keep accountable forever now. I'll send a friend request
  • "An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal…

  • I don't anywhere, on any of your threads, see ANYONE suggesting you eat less. I suspect you will keep asking the same questions until you hear an answer you like. You're weight is fine, your diary looks better (not great, but better) over the last few days, you need to listen to the advice that is being given to you. This…
  • Thanks :) Just what I needed to read!!
  • Is it too late to join pls? I think I'm going to need something like this!!
  • How about The Fast Show, Men Behaving Badly and definately Fawlty Towers xx
  • Hi xx I have lost 110lbs in total in about 15 months, like the above poster I would go as far as to say my life has started again, I have confidence I haven't seen since I was in my 20's, I can go buy clothes I want to wear, I can go to the gym (I'm 49) and do more than many of the younger folks in there. My OH can't…
  • I'm in North Yorkshire xx have sent a friend request :) Please anyone else feel free to add me too!
  • I'm 5'7 and I'm aiming for 140 at the moment (currently 159). I'm pretty big boned and even 140 may be too low, I'll judge it as I get towards that weight though.
  • This ^^ It means sometimes my days look way over and sometimes very short of calories, but working rotating shifts I found this the easiest way to carry on xx
  • I left WW when I discovered MFP, been the best possible decision for me truly. If you are even considering WW online I would suggest why not stick with MFP, if you feel you need the accountability of going to a class to be weighed then maybe WW would cover that. Or you could go get weighed at the doctors if you need that -…
  • Didn't quite make my 250 for Sept, but will try again for 250 in Oct. I'm not sure how many miles I do in spinning so I've never counted it - I'm sure I'd have made my target if I had done lol xx Good luck everyone :)
  • How about a dalmation - they were bred for running alongside horse and carriage in what my kids would call "the olden days", husky would be great also. Depends how far you want to run, greyhounds are short distance sprinters but get quite lazy over longer distances.
  • I think variety is the spice of life! I do boxercise, spinning, swimming, pilates, yoga, total body workout, gym, walking, whatever I can fit in each week whilst working shifts. The one thing I don't do is run due to dodgy knees. I have to say that I got more comments about looking better when I started doing yoga and…
  • Hi folks, been away from home and haven't updated on MFP much xx I just made my 200 mile target in August and would like to aim for 250 to challnge myself a bit more in September. Good luck everyone! Izzy xx
  • Morning folks xx Great to hear of some fabulous results so far ! Well done xx I'm having a decent week, been to the gym every second day and done pilates or yoga on the others. Not hopeful for a big loss this week, I just had knee surgery and I think I'm rebuilding a lot of muscle that I lost over 7 weeks on crutches. This…
  • I use Bio Oil on my surgery scars and it really does make a difference. It's not cheap but it smells lovely and does the job :)
  • Happy day 3 folks xx woken up to beautiful sunshine :) Off to the gym today and yogalates this evening, really looking forward to both, it's amazing how addictive exercise becomes. Good luck evryone and have a great day! We can do this xxx Hehe edited since I wished you all good "uck" which really wouldn't have been…
  • This is all so interesting :) I'm really sorry James but physics scared me at school and I have to confess to skim reading some of your posts, anything that uses letters instead of numbers just seems wrong to my poor little brain xx Anyhow, my question to all you good people is... I had knee surgery on June 1st, and was…
  • Please add me too xx My start weight is 176 lb and I normally weigh in on Fridays so I'll update on Fridays if thats ok :) I'll do a final weigh on the 3rd Sept (not sure what day that is even hehe!) Please feel free to add me as a friend anyone. Good luck everyone!!!! Izzy
  • Hi I'd love to join you please. I just had some knee surgery so I'm not able to ride outdoors for another couple of months, but it will be great motivation for me in the gym! (if that counts!) I would like to aim for 200 miles too. Izzy xx
  • Well done on your weight loss so far :) I think there will be very few people who lose weight at the same rate over a long time, there are too many variables to allow that to happen. I think the safest way to look at this is an average over a longer period. I know that eating less than 1200 calories is frowned upon…
  • Oh Clio - you soumd just like me! I was told I was being ridiculous too, that really doesn't help much does it. I am sure that there must be some proper psychological name for this, I'm sort of releived it isn't just me that feels this way. I'm not being negative here, it doesn't stop me wanting to finish this journey, it…
