Hi Jem, I live in Loughton, Essex. It borders Greater London. My eldest son studied Osteopathy in Leeds so not a huge distance from your birthplace. I didn’t expect so many people to contact me (76 so far!!!). I have a few people I need to send extended answers to and am struggling to find the time. My husband and I are in…

That’s been accepted. Take care xx

Thank you Maggie To be honest I’m shocked at the response to my story. 3,000 MFP members have read it, and 76 members have contacted me. I started a group thinking I might make a friend, and it’s snowballed. I will send you a link to the group as it will be easier to find the lovely people who want to stay in touch. Face…

That’s wonderful. Home stretch and then the treat of finding clothes to make the most of your new shape. I have bought so many clothes on this journey (loads of them with tags on still). Now I can’t wear them so mixed emotions. Keep going!! Xx

Sorry I missed part of your message. I actually feel 30 years younger. Before I needed help to get off the floor or go up the stairs. I’ll be 60 at the beginning of December and the last time I weighed this weight I was maybe 25. People that haven’t seen me for a little while call me the incredible shrinking woman, which I…

Hello Rosemarie I have to confess I do no exercise at all. I have an inland waterway boat (canal boat) that I use most weekends when the English weather isn’t too bad, but other than that, am sedentary. Just running up and down the stairs at my family’s beck and call!

Welcome to the group. I hope to reply properly in the next 48 hours as tied up at the moment and it’s 1:00am here. Thank you for joining and will catch up soon
-
That’s brilliant! I’m so pleased for you. As I’ve mentioned with the others, I hope to catch up with everyone in the next 48 hours. The time difference/ Mondays at work are the busiest & a lot going on, means there will be a delay. Keep up the good work

Hello oldiebutgoodie (sorry I don’t know your name). It’s almost 3:00am in the UK so I can’t chat right now. I have sent to an invite to join the group. You should get a message

Hello Jaded989 (sorry I don’t know your name). It’s 2:45am here in the UK so I must get some sleep, but I’ve just sent you a link to the group. It should be in your messages

Hoping you’ve faced the weigh in and that you were happy with the result. If you feel like sharing the basics of your plan, I’d love to hear about it.

I meant to add that I use a lot of garlic, I buy it pre-crushed/frozen and things like mushroom salt and sriracha powder from Costco. It spices everything up! Also I forgot to mention my little secret. We have in the UK a pre-made jelly called Hartleys 10 cal. Its vegetarian and various flavour are 3 -7 calories a pot. A…

So meal goals are 1st meal 112 cals - 135g egg white omelette with 104g mushrooms, 14g vivera (vegetarian bacon), 80g spinach. This meal is a plateful, super nutritious and packs 20.5g protein. I tend to eat it at 1pm, just drinking in the morning. Next meal 120 calories at around 4pm is a salad, with various leaves, red…

Hi there nvielufm (sorry. Don’t I know your name). These last 18 months have been tough, especially if you suffer with anxiety/ depression as I and so many of us do. I wouldn’t call myself introverted, but I’m happy in my own company and am never bored. I do, however, love chatting and making new friends. I stick to a very…

Glad you found us. We are all on a journey of weight gain and losses and know what it feels like to try so hard. I really can’t believe I am in the position I’m in and so want to help anyone who has a long way to go. Forgive me if there are delays in responding- I think you all live in the USA and there are a lot of hours…

Life can certainly be a challenge. If you’ve done it before, you can do it again. As you know, keeping it off is the really difficult part and you’ve managed it before for 5 years. You go girl!

Hi there I’m sorry to hear that you have so much on your plate. Have you done lots of research into anti-inflammatory foods for your arthritis? My eldest son is an Osteopath and he said that there is some very positive feedback from following an anti-inflammatory diet. My middle son has dyspraxia and my youngest suffers…

Hello hsmartha. Let me know if you would like to chat, or join our newly formed group, 'Friends that Lunch'
-
Hello, I can see that you've joined the group :) . I'm just setting it up and it's all new to me! I think MFP is an amazing app which I've used on and off for years, I just haven't got involved in the social side before. I plan to start a discussion but might not be available in a few hours time as it's my 35th wedding…

Hi Mark, I don't know how old your profile photo is, but you look great for 59. I'm 60 at the beginning of December, so not far behind you. Let me know if you want to join the group 'Friends that Lunch'. I've only just set it up so the chatting hasn't begun yet - I can send you an invite if you're interested. If not, I…

Hi Clare, I've sent you an invite to join the group I have just set up over the weekend. I'm an old hand with MFP, but a complete novice when it comes to Social Media. Do join if you fancy a chat. I seem to be a rarer breed - I'm in the UK
-
I’m proof that it’s never too late to change! It took me almost 60 years but at last I worked out what it takes to get to target. I hope you’re doing well on whatever journey you’re on
-
I’ve just resent it to you (hopefully!)
-
Hi there, I've set up a group and sent you an invite. Hopefully if I did it correctly you should have got it. Obviously there is a time difference . The group is called Friends that Lunch
-
Thank you. I'm very grateful that losing half my weight is actually target weight for me. I know there are a lot of people out there for whom losing 1/2 the weight will still make them obese. Stay well, Sharon

That's amazing! I don't know you, but I'm proud of you. When there is so much to lose it can be overwhelming. Celebrate (without calories) every victory you chalk up. Take Care Sharon
