I concur with previous posters....there are many things that can cause a weight variation from one day to the next....water retention due to salt or ramping up exercise, female related cycles, etc. Keep at it and you'll see the results you want. Feel free to add me. I am 50 (close enough to 40 something, I hope), and work as an attorney which is the job I do in order to be able to chauffeur, clothe, feed, etc. a 15 year old, an 18 year old and a 20 year old.

Hi Margaret, I just turned 50 in March. MFP is like anything else, it works if you work it.
