There isn't too much that annoys me at the gym because I'm usually there to just do my own thing and then leave. But there are some things it would be nice if people didn't do. My biggest thing is when people drop really, really heavy weights out of no where. I don't mind so much that they're being dropped but more so the…

They are, fundamentally, very similar programs. WW, though, is designed (to the best of my knowledge) around a points system. Points are assigned to foods and the idea is you can eat whatever you like, just within your daily allotment of points. If you exercise you get more points to eat as activity points. The foods with…

I eat 5 small meals per day and the calories are split pretty evenly over the course of the day. In the morning I eat a small snack - home made banana oat muffins that come in at about 280 calories. Then I eat breakfast at work, which is home made protein oatmeal and some kind of fruit - and that usually comes in at about…

I am single so I only grocery shop for one, this means I need to do detailed meal prep planning. My grocery list is always different . . . depends on the week, but typically eggs chocolate chips rolled oats chia seeds bananas PB apples berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, whatever looks best) vanilla greek…

By the sounds of it he's potentially looking to coach others who don't realize, that, with a little extra effort on their part they too can do it for free and don't have to pay someone to do it for them.

As many have said, Tim Hortons is a Canadian staple . . . their lunch menu is basically their menu for things other than doughnuts. They make sandwiches and such all the time, pretty much any time. The ones around where I live stop baking at about 8 pm, so whatever they have at that point is what they have for the night…

This isn't happening. My guess, from my experience only, is that you're actually eating more than you think you are. Your body is not in starvation mode. Also, you got to a point where you want to lose 10-15 lbs so you ultimately can, and have, eaten way more than you needed to in a day (TDEE) to maintain the weight you…

I agree with this - while they may have been mislead it is also up to the consumer to know and understand what they're eating. Consumers - of anything, not just food products - have to be aware of what they're buying and be able to think for themselves about it.

I totally agree with this. I am single so meal prep is a bit of a challenge, sometimes, when prepping for only one person. However, I have nailed it after a while. I eat the same thing every day, every meal, for a week. It doesn't bother me at all to do so. I also make sure whatever I have is mobile. So a lot of my snacks…

Usually lo mein, sweet and sour pork, egg roll. Although there's this place near me that says they're chinese food but they have EVERYTHING so there I always get their thai chicken, lemon chicken, beef with vegetables, etc etc. Also, where I live a lot of places tend to be buffet only which is great because I get to have a…

My October goal was to run a marathon - 26.2 miles but I didn't get there as I found out I had damage to a tendon connecting my hip to my knee and I've been told to take 'er easy. So for November I'm in for at least 26.2 miles, ideally I'd like to hit 30.

So weird question, maybe, but why can't you have any? I know that it can be tough but, as many have said, you need the willpower all on your own to do it. I personally LOVE those little halloween bars and it's a completely crazy reason why but here it is: I can eat an ENTIRE chocolate bar, even two, and it fits in my…

I'm totally with her. If I'm going for AYCE anywhere and making that choice I know it's a day where I'm way over and I just accept it. I don't even try to calculate it. Especially with sushi when it's family style and I might have 2 pieces of this and 3 of that, and then some dumplings and whatever. I just accept it is way…

Hey! So I have IBS with the D portion/side effect. My biggest trigger is stress/emotional upset in all honesty. So I could eat one thing this week, and be fine and then the next week if I am really, really stressed out it will cause so many issues. Overall, though, my trigger foods tend to be a lot of dairy - milk, cream,…

Are you happy with where you are? You said you have lost inches, your clothes fit differently and you feel better . . . so are you happy with yourself? If not, then you need to make a change. I believe you're female based on the clothing size you gave so please know this isn't from a place of being mean or hatred but if…

I wouldn't say it's a bad thing. As @shanaber said we are all addicted in some way to it. For me I know that if I don't I will start to feel like crap - less fulfilling sleep, eating things that don't make me feel good, grumpier and the cycle will continue. I realized I feel great when I am running on a regular basis . . .…

That is kind of a big difference though: if one day you eat 35g of fat and another you eat 50g. I mean it isn't the end of the world, but from my experience it's estimates and approximations that tend to cause the most issues. For example, if you eat approximately 1,300 calories/day . . . but you're eye balling your food…

This really, really bothers me. If you stand in front of a mirror naked and then eat and realize you hate how you look you will associate that with eating, and that develops negative relationships with food and is prime breeding grounds for a lot of disordered eating. It's a dangerous and slippery slope. I do not really…

First things first: there is no rule, written or otherwise, that says you can't enjoy your food and still portion it enough to control what you eat. I love food . . . like a lot a lot . . . but I just control how much of everything I eat. And I'm curious as to why you don't want to eat out any more - unless it was in one…

So I've been SERIOUSLY slacking this summer . . . really my own fault and have no one to blame but myself. So to ease myself back into running I've decided to make October my marathon month in that I will run at least a marathon distance over the month (hopefully more, but since I'm just getting back into it I don't wanna…

While I can appreciate the feeling of not wanting to be 'last' at something I think, perhaps, running is the wrong sport for you. Runners are a community of people who support each other, whether you run a 4 minute KM or a 12 minute KM . . . we all support each other and there are not any winners or losers in this sport,…

While this might be a little late into the conversation . . . here's my thoughts. I was outside of the age range that they were giving these vaccines when it first came out, but I was young enough to request it from my doctor . . . I think you have to be under 23 or 25 or something. So I got it. Yes, there is a chance of…

Is this walking in reference to fitness, or in reference to how much we spend on our cars when, you're saying, it would be more economical to walk? I'm confused.

You look amazing! Congrats on your achievement

Well first things first . . . you are never over or under the truth, the truth is the truth. You might be over/under on what you said but that's not the same thing. Also, what the heck is 'bad weight'? Do you think you'd be gaining muscle at 1200 calories/day? HIGHLY unlikely, especially for women. When you say you'd…
