I am usually out on the road around 515, and it is still dark out as well. And now with fall here its CHILLY!! I bring my dog, and also have a flashing light so cars can see me, which clips onto my hat/jacket/pants/whatever. I have "bumped" into skunks before, even living in the city, so if you can get a headlamp, that…

Thanks again for this post Steve!!! I am one of those that lost 100+ lbs 15 years ago and for the past 15 years have dieted and exercised to keep it off, and after being here and being advised to "eat more to lose" after gaining 15 pounds I know that wont work for me. My body is one of the unfortunate ones that has adapted…

This was my problem also. I lost alot of weight, 100+ pounds and have kept it off, but still not at goal so when I came here and wasnt having any loss, I was informed by alot of people here to try eating more to reset metabolism etc.. I did that off and on along with "exercise breaks" and gained 15 pounds over 6 mos, so…

Do you think that adaptive thermogenesis is reversible?? Like many people who say that if you do a metabolism "reset" and then eat more, eventually after gaining a few pounds, you will lose again at a higher intake???

@peachea: On days that I lift, (2x/week) I do a little cardio. On off days I run. this is what works for me, but alot of people dont do that. I find that FOR ME, running is the best non-lifting cardio for me, so I run 4-5 days per week, and lift 2xper week and take 1 day off. Hope this helps!

Cilantro! tried it in salad and even the smell made me sick!!!! No Bueno!

I also disagree. I find the first couple miles the hardest. Actually the hardest part is walking out the door!!! I find the longer I run, the better I feel regardless of whether I am training for a race or not!!!

I have wondered about this method, and when I did an 30k there was a couple using this method. I ran the whole race my normal pace (which admittedly is slow, avg 10min/mile) and they started with me and ended with me! Everytime they stopped to walk i would get ahead, and then when they started running they would catch up.…

What do you get for TDEE? what is your activity level? Have you been losing so far? what are you currently eating.

BUMP! I have 4 jars and really am not fond of the stuff at all. Certainly tastes nothing like peanut butter. One thing I have done is mixed some with water and used it on noodles for a peanut sauce. That was 'OK'
