MFP is a great tool for helping people but keep in mind that you will get advice from a lot of different people with a lot of different nutritional knowledge and some may be good and some may be incorrect. I would say that if you are not truly motivated to lose the weight you will not be very successful. weight loss occurs…

sounds like you need an antifungal powder like nystatin which you need a prescription for...you could try an OTC antifungal powder but may want to mention it to the dr...

Yes. Unless you are creating a 3500 per day deficit you are not losing a lb per day of "fat". But either way congrats on the loss so far and keep up the good work!

it can be frustrating when you are working out and trying hard and then don't lose! I can relate. I agree with getting a food scale. Also for your height 132 is pretty aggressive. Maybe shoot for 150 or make mini goals...

Hi ladies, Hope those that were sick are better...I had a head cold that is thankfully just about gone... Still dealing with hip injury but did go to yoga today.. Eating has been pretty on track for past few days...hopefully scale will cooperate next weigh in.....

I love cauliflower so I can eat it anyway but my new favorite is buying the riced cauliflower and cooking it and then using a wedge of the laughing cow cheese and melting it in with cauli and eating it like that. I have also had it with pulled chicken and its uyummy as well...And the cauliflower rice goes bad faster than…

Good Morning everyone! Its interesting, I did WW for a month and went up and down 3 lbs, and after a month ended up the same weight as when I started. Then a week ago I started back here tracking instead of points and lost 3 lbs....I think it must be the fruit and veggies...the whole "free concept"....makes me eat fruit if…

Hi everyone... @cbabie: wow. That sounds like quite a day!! Hope you are feeling better! @reed: im new here, sounds like you too. Welcome! My goal for today was to go to yoga and avoid mindless eating. As day went on my cold got worse so I skipped yoga but did good woth eating. .. Biggest challenge as always was to avoid…

If you take a bowl and place it on the scale and then add your yogurt or (fill in the blank) its no more time than just taking the yogurt and putting in a bowl and eating....

Thank you all for the warm welcome! My biggest challenge today is to not eat all those BLT's (bites/licks/tastes) that add up without me realizing it....licking the spoon after making my sons pbj, taking last bite of kids yogurt etc.... This is pretty much my biggest challenge every day lol... Reason for change is that I…

Hi There! Wondering if I can join this thread?? I was (?am) and lifetime WW member but hadnt gone in to weigh in or anything in a few years. My weight flucuates alot, like as much as 10lbs on a weekly basis and it was too hard to maintain my status there. This past June I hurt my hip so I stopped all activity and I have…

Feel free to add me in! I've been logging for 1865 days so I have staying power lol!

Congrats on your progress so far!!! I know how frustrating it is to stay on target when you don't see any results...Keep up the good work..

I am 5'8 and 174 lbs. My happy weight is 162-164 but after injury and little exercise the weight has crept up and I cannot get it off no matter what I do. I would love to be 150-155 but cant ever break the 160 mark no matter what I do....

Ok...I am not sure how you are spacing meals but what about moving last meal you eat a little later?
-
Maybe try counting your calories starting at night so you have enough to eat and feel satisfied? For example start you day tracking with your nighttime snack and then breakfast/lunch and dinner the next day and make dinner your last meal in the 24 hour block....does this make sense?? Either that or plan day ahead of time…

I am 44 and struggling to lose even though I seem to be doing everything right....Was just thinking maybe my age might have something to do with it. Feel free to add me!!!!

I use romaine lettuce and spinach, add in some cut up carrots, onions, tomatoes, cauliflower, cucumber, 30grams of edamame, a couple tablespoons of hummus, and a splash of rice vinegar. So yummy!

Day to day you will fluctuate due to water, salt etc. You can weigh yourself everyday if you like to trend the numbers, but I would pick one day per week and use that as a weigh in day and every week use the same day to track. Then look at the trend over time, like a month. For me I know that I not only fluctuate every…

ARGHH!!! I hate when that happens!!! Just as bad when I weigh out some baby carrots and my husband comes by and grabs a few!!! >:)

Every day! And if something happens and I don't eat what I log, I go back in fix it later...
-
Agree with bro!!! I lost about 125 lbs and kept the weight off for over 10 years while working out and lifting weights and no amount of weights or cardio helped the loose skin on my tummy or inner thighs. I didnt like the tummy but the thighs bothered me the most because it was visible in anything I wore that was cut above…

I have had IT issues for years and it always flares up when I ramp up my running. I got a bunch of exercises from the PT and that helped immensely. I would recommend you go back to PT and ask for exercises to strengthen the muscles, not just stretching exercises....

Try Grokker. Its an online site that offers hundreds of different types of videos that are free and you can upgrade to premium videos for a cost.... My preference for yoga is going to a class so that the instructor can fix something if my alignment is off but if you cant do that this is next best thing!

1650!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely!!! I totally go through the same thing....If I am feeling at all like the day could be a crabby one, or whatever I avoid the scale. I wish it didn't affect me so much too! I know there are daily/weekly/monthly fluctuations, but it still hurts.
-
Good for you! Great job!

No!! Dont feel like crap. Congratulate yourself for going to the gym 2x/week!!! You actually dont need to go tot he gym at all to lose weight...You need a calorie deficit and going to the gym and burning calories makes it a little easier to reach that deficit. Our bodies will fluctuate so partially may be due to water…
