I would do it first thing in the morning. Saves money and you get time to yourself!! Or if you can, next option will be babysitter!! most strollers will accommodate babies at 6 mos I believe!!! Good luck! I did my first marathon when my daughter was 8 mos old!

@mleigh; Thanks!! Lemon: as always thanks again. I am taking rest week this week and then next week increasing again to 2200 and continuing to keep carbs lower (100g). I had reviewed my stats from feb. to today and yes deficits back then could be as high as 900 per day, avg 400-800, but I was doing more running. Now I am…

I wonder how long I need to do strength training before I will see the metabolic improvement and visual results???? I feel like my body resists the strength training!! I have done 2 full ( 12 week) rounds of p90x and slight improvement in upper body visually, but negligible change in measurements....I seem to do so much…

thats what I am doing now! I am taking this week off from exercise and eating at maintenance. I am also trying to limit carbs to 100g, but I am having a hard time getting to 2000 calories without going ridicuolously over on protein and fat!!! @goldfshark: I agree and my BF did possibly go down 1% if I trust my husbands…

thanks!! I just had someone else recommend lowering carbs to 100g/day and increasing fats to balance out the calories. I do usually drink 80-120 ounces of water per day. Usually 96 minimum, but some days I fall a little short...Thanks again!

my BMR is based on several different calculations, and I also had it checked with by calimetry where you breath in a tube for like 15 minutes or so and have a bag over your head etc. I also had it checked where they attach electrodes to you foot and hand and both time was around 1650, so according to everything, its about…

I am 5'8" 167.4 pounds this morning. I did attribute this past weeks loss to the TOM from the week before, but still overall I am up 5 pounds from when I started here in Feb. and my intake overall is decreasing,..When I look at info from feb. my weight was 161 and I averaged 1930 intake and burned avg 2500 per day....

I am not sure what my net should really be anymore. I am starting not to trust any of the calculations. Usually I net around 1400-1600. I have been told that I should never go below my basal metabolic rate which is 1650....

yes this is true. I just figured I would build muscle and lose fat which is why I increased my intake to about 2000 to help reduce lean body mass weight, but clothes and measurements are not changing.....

according to MFP my total exerise burn was 2446. My deficit from calories for the week 1236. Usually my burn is higher, as I only worked out 4 days this week and had a christmas party, so deficit is also usally bigger. When I review data from my bodymedia, I usually have 450-700 per day deficit. I weight and measure…

I have the bodymedia fit, and I use a HRM. The HRM seems to correlate with the bodymedia. Usually the bodymedia will show average daily burn between 2500-3000 but I lower that to allow for 10% error. I appreciate all the feedback!! I do eat healthy!! Organic, nothing processed, lean cuts of chicken, one serving of grain…

FIrst, you just have to make yourself do it. After awhile you will get used to it. I have my alarm clock set across the room, so I have to get out of bed to shut it off. Also as others have posted, I have my workout gear all set to go right next to my bed. I am dressed before I even turn the lights on....

Great question!! Does she have calipers to check BF%????

I had been a lifetime WW member and after the new system went into effect and the fruit/veggies were free, I ended up gaining 5 pounds and still havent been able to take it off. When I figured out the points and compared to calories i found that calories were much lower for me with WW then MFP, so I guess it just matters…

This happened to me!! I had lost like 80-100 pounds and stayed there for a couple years at least, then I decided to become vegetarian, and at the same time I also started running. I think the combo of the 2 helped me lose another 20 pounds. Since you already run, that wont help, but maybe increase the intensity of…

Hi there!! I just found out yesterday that I have PCOS so I am going to be decreasing carbs and following low GI diet. hoping that will help me finally bust though my 8+ months long plateau. I am looking forward to any advice/recommendations. my plan is to eat 255 of diet from carbs, which is down from 40%. About me: 5'8"…

would it be ok for me to join late???? I will start tomorrow????

Is this 1600 net or gross??? Also I noticed you lost 4 pounds. (awesome!!) Are you measuring body fat%??Is that improving as well?? I have been gaining  but my BF% is either staying the same or improving. I want the scale to go down, but dont want to lose lean muscle mass. Thanks!!

And I am going to try to eat lower wed. and friday (which will be easy since I am working!!) I am also starting a challenge on the burn the fat feed the muscle…

Yes, I actually havent had a period in 7 years unless I take meds for it and it started after I started running. Alot of people dont think its from the running, which I sometimes have doubts as well, but I was overweight for so long from chilhoood through college and I think my body adjusted to that so when I lost all my…

Interesting!! I am 5'8" as well, but alot heavier. I fluctuate between 162-168, and my goal is 148, but at this point I would be satisfied with 155 or so!!! I usually net about 1700-1900, which was a change a month ago when I increased from 1400 net. How did she calculate your BF%? Seems like you should be lower than…

so if my LBM is 125 (I cant remember exactly, but its somewhere around there) , I use that to estimate calorie intake for the day rather than my actual weight of 168??
-
Am I correct in assuming that when you calculate TDEE or BMR you use current weight, not LBM???
-
Thanks!!!!! So by my bodyfat calculations, week 1 wgt 164.6, LBM 125, started eating more calories, avg 2100 gross (bodyfat % 25.7 week 2 wgt 166.6 LBM 126 avg intake 2074 (bf% 24) week 3 wgt 168.8 LBM 128.3 avg intake 2194 (BF% 24) I just hope my husbands been accurate with the calipers!! I am a little nervous about how…
