  • I've heard of a lot of people alternating different cardio moves so I'm sure it's fine. Jillian even says that the punches are a great way to get your heart rate up if you have any sort of lower body injury. Great that the squats are coming along! I can squat and lunge for days but have zero upper arm strength, push ups…
  • Yeah that exercise kills me too. What I've done is use one weight with both hands, works pretty good and I feel confident that I will soon be able to use both weights soon.
  • That's great and really who cares how slow you progress as long as you don't come to a stand still ;)
  • Well I've already done ten days of level one (technically 19 days but the other nine were from a while back) but am not confident enough to move up yet, so another week of it for me. Anyways, I got antsy Sunday and did a 40 min fire starter class with turbo fire and I felt it! In fact, it's the most I've been sore after…
  • I hope so too. No I haven't tried a brace. I'm clueless on when to wear it or how to wear it or what it actually does lol. I think I might need to see my doctor about it. It's on the leg where I've had a tendon nicked near my knee and I also had a blood clot on that leg too and though I was told it would clear on it's own,…
  • Aww poor hubby :( That really is awful. I think alternating the days is a good idea. He might want to take a rest day as well, I mean I know it sucks having to wait but better safe then sorry. Let him still be your motivator though and I'm sure he will be happy to do so. Also remind him not to let you give up when school…
  • You can stick with it :) we believe in you!
  • Another asthmatic on board. I feel your pain, I just got diagnosed with adult onset asthma last year and it's been a nightmare ever since. It really does get easier, even the cardio which at first killed my lungs. Stick with it and keep in touch :) We have a great group here!
  • Haha, yes I know but her and I used to work out together. We were neighbors and got pregnant around the same times and just kind of did everything together. But now I live in another state and so we keep in touch the best we can. We did hip hop abs together and that was fun. But insanity looks well, insane LOL!
  • Okay ladies, or guys if they are lurking, today was day 10 of the shred and I didn't do too bad. My control inhaler takes about 2 weeks to be in full effect and I think I'm on day 8 or 9. So soon everything should be hunky dory! Anyways, measurements! Start, Finish Weight 144, 145 Chest 36, 35 Waist 30, 28.5 Hips 37.5, 36…
  • I'm going to take my sweet time with the shred. I want to be fully confident before I move through the levels. However my friend is sending me insanity because she wants me to do it with her. It will be a long distance work out buddy but still a lot of fun. I'm sure that's going to be hell, insanity, but worth it. I'm also…
  • You will get there! Just as you got better with all the other stuff, the cardio will kick in too and your stamina will rise. Keep it up and don't quit on us :)
  • I was just going to go and find this exact post! I love it and it keep me motivated. One day they are gonna take a double take and be like, "whoa, when did this all happen." And by then you won't hardly need to hear it because you will know and feel amazing!
  • Glad to see you guys are getting some progress! Great job!
  • My goals are SW: 150 CW: 140-143 GW 133-135 1-148-done 2-145-done 3-143- this is about where I'm at. 4-140- 5-138 6-135 7-133 I know it's small goals but it's still hard. I would also love to be able to do some dang pushups!! And eventually run/walk/crawl my first 5k.
  • Alright! It's crazy how you can't see the difference but your body can feel it. But the pictures sure prove it.
  • Hmmmmm.... Well I suppose my goal weight would be 138, I seem to get closer to the 30's but my weight fluctuates so much! Goal -138lbs Reward- getting a fitted pair of running shoes! I don't really have a time frame but hopefully by the time I complete the shred.
  • We love you too!! <3
  • Oh those last lifts. I swear my arms start to quiver as soon as I see her hit the mat on the of the strength sets.
  • Wow that is great!! Tha'ts quite a bit there. Congrats!
  • Stronger and we know what we are capable of pulling through :) I'm so happy to know you guys!
  • I suppose its story time for us all. My journey started when I was 14, I (ashamed, very ashamed) attempted suicide. I swallowed something like 500 Excedrin and just had had enough. My mother, though I love her, was no saint and was manic depressant and bi polar and she drove me to that point. I begged my dad (who hated me…
  • That is true, I've read that too that you can't focus down one area of your body to lose on. Good thing to remember.
  • I've got one of those insulated tumblers. It's 16oz and keeps water cold, if its not cold, I wont drink it.
  • Oh yes I noticed that! I was pointing at the screen and saying, "Wh...what? What is that? Wait...no...no that's not fair lady." I follow Anita for some things, but on day 8 (yesterday) it was mostly Natalie.
  • Day one was like slowly crawling through the desert with no water. Day seven was like riding a bike up a small hill Day eight was like driving a nice car but your gps was sketchy Day ten is like margarita vile.... actually I don't know yet but that's what I'm envisioning haha It does get easier and you will be amazed at…
  • Glad to know I'm not alone! Today will be day nine for me and I think I will fly though most it with ease, like the cardio is cake now and I even literally kick my butt on the kicks. Most of the weight lifting is alright, abs stuff is getting pretty simple even the bicycle at the end.. its the push ups and the arm raises,…
  • I have 3 lb weights and that is even sometimes to hard, specially on those arm raises...mercy! I think I'm just going to do twenty days or even a month on each level. I'm okay with that. However, I did promise a friend that I'd be starting insanity with her soon! so maybe I'll swap out some days. I don't know yet lol
  • First of all you're not shallow at all for feeling that way. I know exactly what kind of person you're speaking of, everything is dang competition to them! Second, you should be DAMN proud of where you are because you worked your @$$ off for it. And hearing you're whole story made me just amazed at how you have taken your…
  • Wow! I can see a lot of difference! Your arms look smaller, your tummy looks smaller, less muffin top on the back end and I can tell the shorts fit better :) great job! thanks for sharing!
