I just had an anxiety attack about 30 mins again. I got a sharp stabbing pain right in the middle of my chest, the a fast heart beat after that. Followed by lightheaded, and tingling in my left arm. then finally panic sets in. First I concentrated on controlling my breathing then I shifted my focus to something else, i.e.…

Hi, I'm Tamela, I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder when I was in middle school but it went away for a few years only to return when my son was 3 and now again since I turned 30. I was sent to the ER last year after a severe anxiety attack that we thought was something more serious. I so didnt know that anxiety caused…

I have a desk job too, so I try to stand up as much as possible, you burn more calories standing than sitting :) also I walk around our office as much as possible & as fast as possible "nickname Turbo" around here LOL. They have the little peddle things you can do under your desk if you have room and maybe even sit on a…

My question is, is that all you're eating or is that what you're netting? B/c I net 882 yesterday but I ate a total of 1546 and I was so full that I couldnt take another bite of anything at any meal or snack. Listen to your body, if you're hungry eat, if not drink some water :)

I weigh daily or every 2 days or so but I only count Wednesdays, In July I will start recording Monday's for a challenge group.

I havent been running/jogging long (still on a 3-5 min run then walk some plan) but I took my son to the park and he couldnt keep up with me and he's 9 and in what i thought was good shape. He had to sit down 3 times and we only did a mile. Made me feel good, but now I think he's going to train with me!

Thanks everyone for all your support!

I'm doing it but my free trial is about to run out so I will be doing it without the app. I ran yesterday just to run and finished my first full mile!

You are so right I keep forgetting that - it's all part of changing the way I think about this journey as it becomes a lifestyle change.

I'm in almost the same predicament as you are. I'm 30 and I work as an office manager which means 8 hrs on my butt with few breaks and found myself always eating out for lunch & dinner with no exercise. I'm 239 right now but need to get down to 140-155. I cant do morning work outs - #1 i hate mornings #2 I leave early for…

You can add me I'm 5'7" currently 239 but started in january around 260 but got off the band wagon so i restarted this month (thus the only 3 lb loss) We can do this!! I'm doing the Couch 2 5k program and les mills combat.

I know that if you have a deficit you will not be able to gain muscle. But im trying to lose so I dont eat them all back but I try to stay as close to 1000 calorie net as possible.

way to go! I just started c25k yesterday myself - week 1 day 1 (3 x a week) I was iffy about trying it again b/c last year when I tried it I could barely run 1/2 of the run portions for day1 week 1. Yesterday I did them all - slow & steady like you said. it's such a confidence builder.
-
Just for an update I completed my C25K Day 1 today with no missed runs!!!!

I'm going to start bringing my workout clothes with me to work so that I can change and go straight to it when I get off work. Then there's no excuse b/c I wont be going straight home, up 3 flights of stairs and be tempted with sitting down and catching up on what's on my DVR. Once I get this down for 90 days I might try…

I get up at 6 get ready leave by 6:45 to be at work by 7:45. trust me no wasted time, i dont do breakfast at home or coffee do all that at work. but what works for some doesnt work for others and i know from experience trying to work out in the mornings does not work for me. like i said I might try to make that goal later…

Thanks everyone, great advise. I agree alot with the getting burned out. I did a drastic change and drastic exercise routine and then got injured and it all started back so now I'm going slow. I've already cut out sodas a few weeks back, i'm not trying to add walking or c25k in the afternoons - I'm not a morning person and…
