I know this can be worrisome for a lot of new vegans. Personally I think the settings are high for protein. Have you tried adding seitan? I make my own and its pretty cheap. One bag of vwg will last me 3-4 weeks. Tvp is easily added to a lot of meals and is amazing as a sub for the expensive meat crumbles you buy frozen.…

I also love to cook! Haven't been as much lately because I have a newborn. :( Need to get back at it though because quick meals for me usually have waaaay too much sodium!

My sister in law is getting married in May. Ideally I want to drop 15 pounds before it. I'm watching my calories and macros. Runner so I eat quite a few carbs, and I'm also vegan. Going to add yoga to my routine here soon. :)

That is so awesome! Be proud, you deserve it. :)

Try buying some cook books and looking at blogs for inspiration. A couple of my favorites are "vegan with a vengeance" by Isa Moskowitz and blog.fatfreevegan.com. The hardest part for me when going vegan was relearning go to foods. Now I'm learning how to lose weight vegan (went vegan pregnant and gained tons!). Learning…

Bras. I'm a 34j so I can't go into any store and buy one. Online only for me -_-

I used it years ago to start running, and it was amazing! I'm using it again now to gradually get back into running after my second child. Honestly can't recommend it enough. I have asthma as well and it vastly improved my cardiovascular abilities because of the gradual (yet attainable) pace.

Setting a goal of 40 miles. Just starting to run again :)

158 right now and I'd ultimately like to be 110-115.

Imho never. My mom wears a bikini and looks awesome!

I have two baby boys (2 1/2 and three weeks) and my other two (my husband and my mastiff). I'm trying to lose the baby weight and some extra poundage I was carrying. Doing c25k again as an easy intro into exercise and plan on doing yoga along with the 30 day shred towards the end of next month. Ideally I'm also going to…

1. Do some exercise everyday 2. Log everything everyday 3. Finish next three chapters in Lingua latina 4. Get rid of 10 pounds 5. Start wearing my corset again

Just had my second earlier this month. I'm super excited to be able to exercise again! Having trouble staying in my calorie goals though (late night snacker). In total I want to lose about 50 pounds.

My mom had a pretty good policy imo. Whatever she made we at least had to have a little bit. We didnt have to eat a whole plate, but we had to try it.

Beans, tvp, seitan, quinoa, tofu, nuts, lentils, tempeh, chai seeds. That's off the top of my head. Keep in mind vegetables have protein; some more some less. Rice and pasta have varying levels depending on the type.

You laugh your head off when people say vegetables are gross.

Buy generic when you can as well (look at the lower shelves). Second finding wholesalers. We have an aldis here and I shop there for most of our groceries. Making food for one person is not my forte, but if you make things like casseroles then you can freeze them for later meals. I buy beans, nuts, nutritional yeast in…

What bothers me is that your saying your kids where the ones asking. Now its "grandma's overindulgence" for LESS than half a pound (which was probably eliminated later as you suggest) You don't see how unhealthy this sounds?
-
I just can't imagine getting upset because my child had one extra portion of food at grandmas. 0_o Seriously at seven those .2 pounds shouldn't have gotten him disqualified.

Even as a vegan that doesnt sound good at all. Who wants to live off salad?

I also suggest professional help. Being in the throws of an eating disorder is very hard and climbing out can be even harder especially after a tragedy occurs. I am a recovering bulimic and I can honestly say I wish you the best of luck.

I didnt use it until my first was a few months old, but I really liked my moby wrap. It was convenient being able to have him in front or on my hip.

Last year I made quinoa and cranberry stuffed acorn squash and it was amazing. I also made carrot cake for everyone. :)

sugar sells. I cant' believe how many of my friends didn't like my spaghetti sauce. and then when I added some sugar to it and served them the same sauce they loved it. Sad really. We have to mask the taste of our foods. And that did start with the large companies trying to sell more. Give them sugar and they are hooked.…

hCG is a part of my eating. Oh no wait I'm pregnant and gaining because of it......
-
I won't believe it until you make a youtubez video about it! Then its true for sure

The more I read these sugar threads the more I want to read them..... It's addictive. 0_o

I pumped for the first month as I couldn't get him to latch. It was hell. Especially for night feedings. I was ready to give up, but finally got his latch after all that time! I can't tell you how much easier and less stressful it is to give baby a boob rather than pump. No way i would ever do that willingly.

Same reason someone else here has noted things like princess bride. Even if you haven't seen it you've most likely heard of it. It's one of those movies that hasn't really died with the decades since its come out.
