My bellybutton, it used to be cavernous with a bit of an overhang, today I noticed it looks like a normal one (round). I can't stop looking at it (i'm at home, don't worry!). Literally navel gazing.

I'm spending Christmas with my family and my mum's portion sizes are also huge. I've resigned myself to that but I will be avoiding the quality street and nuts and nibbles, which should be OK, because I definitely won't be hungry! I'm intending to go out for a few walks (really the only practical exercise when visiting…

Once a week, but more and more I'm thinking that's actually not a very long time between weigh ins so I might try once a month.

The smallest dress size i've been as an adult is 14 (UK), so my goal is to get to that again and see how I look/feel then. I might stop there or keep going.

I meal plan for the week and spend average £30 a week, I live alone and i'm skint. Breakfast is usually porridge or muesli (so those things and milk are on the list). Packed lunches - salads with egg or meat, houmous and veggies, fruit, pasta salad, bulghur salads. Dinner - lots of pulses, chicken and quorn when its on…

That's positive, I like that. I went shopping for smaller bras yesterday and couldn't bring myself to do it but I might try and adopt this attitude.

I'm on my 3rd one, I love it. I can't see any effect on my weight and i'm losing weight well at the moment. I've had a similar experience with periods on it to I Hate Thinking. I had a terrible time on depo-provera though, so I love my implanon.

That's interesting about no going barefoot around the house, that makes sense, thank you for sharing that. My Doctor didn't mention that. I've been suffering for a few months with achilles tendinopathy and its miserable. Mine are improving slowly, it sounds like you're on the mend, I hope you're up and running again soon.

Both. I meal plan and take a packed lunch to work so I tend to pre-log my meals for the day while I have my morning cup of tea, if I've made lunch for a few days I'll pre-log that a few days ahead. I then know how many calories I have left for snacks etc, which I log as I go.

The best thing about this thread is you answering everyone who has got the wrong end of the stick, loving your work.

Definitely use the recipe feature for things that you make like the pizza, once a recipe is saved you can use it whenever you need it. Once you're tracking properly you may find that you're not eating as any calories as you think (or it might be more, which would be less good). Good luck with your weight loss.

I plan my meals each day and pre-log breakfast, lunch and dinner. I always take a packed lunch to work. I then know how many calories I have left for snacks and extras, and how much of a detour I have to take on my walk home if it looks like I don't have enough calories!

The "live below the line" recipes here are good http://agirlcalledjack.com/2013/03/06/carrot-coriander-falafels-23p/

I feel your pain, I've had to cut out bread because I've got no willpower with it! This also means I've cut out butter too. I do make wholewheat chapatis and flatbreads sometimes which aren't quite so bad (because I only make enough for 1 serving rather than having a loaf to deal with). It has got easier and I don't crave…

What are you missing most?

About now, which is 8lb (I restarted MFP after a few weeks of dieting which is why ticker shows 2lb), people say its noticeable in my face mainly, but work colleagues keep asking if I've lost weight. I'm 5'10"

I'm in the UK and I buy tea from http://www.charteas.com/home/shop/1.html and http://www.teapigs.co.uk/

Hi, I'd like to join this challenge please, due to injury my only real exercise is walking. I'll go for 100 miles in September as my goal and 6lb loss. I use MapMyWalk which syncs with MFP. I'm in Gloucestershire, UK.

I've got a massive crush on someone I see for a weekend once a year (at a sporting event), next year when I see him I'll be hot... and also a friend has lost a lot of weight by counting calories and she has inspired me to try this method seriously. I struggle with things like Slimming World because i'm on a tight…

Good luck! I'm new to this too (again) and i'm also feeling better after a short time. Here's hoping we stick at it and reach our goals!

I felt the same way, I'm on a very tight budget too and when I thought about losing weight I remembered the sort of foods you eat on Weight Watchers and Slimming World to stay within your points/ syns and I just don't have the money to buy lots of special foods. I started MFP (again) last week and calorie counting has…
